Product Overview
Driven by a 22 kW electric motor, the NB 80-200/171 end-suction centrifugal pump features an axial suction port (DN 100) and a radial discharge port (DN 80). Specified for commercial HVAC circulation, district heating installations, and industrial process water distribution, the pump mounts securely onto floor inertia bases in mechanical plant rooms.
Hydraulic wet-end output delivers a rated flow volume of 2675 L/Min with a maximum operational head limit of 31.98 m. The EN-GJL-250 cast iron casing receives cataphoresis electrocoating to limit surface oxidation. Inside, a stainless steel impeller works alongside bronze wear rings and a BQQE shaft seal. Physical net weight measures 238 kg.
Electrical power for the NB 80-200/171 model is supplied by a 415 V three-phase electric motor rated at 22 kW output power. Nominal operating current draw measures 40.8 Amps during full load operations. Operating liquid temperatures span from -25°C to 120°C under 16 bar working pressure. Suction inlet measures DN 125 with a DN 80 discharge port.
Motor protection on the NB 80-200/171 pump complies with IP55 enclosure standards to resist dust and moisture ingress, supported by Class F thermal insulation and internal PTC thermistors. The back-pull-out casing layout allows service personnel to remove the motor drive and rotor assembly without unbolting the pump volute from system suction and discharge piping headers.
Features
- All stainless steel shaft construction provides improved corrosion resistance compared to carbon steel alternatives in wetted service areas.
- Mechanical shaft seal can be replaced without removing the impeller, system piping, pump volute casing or drive motor from the installation.
- Housing, impeller and wear ring use dissimilar material pairings to prevent galling and ensure no sticking elements during extended standby periods.
- High-efficiency motor selection is configured to match the specific power supply characteristics, pumping environment and liquid properties of each installation.
- Back pull-out design allows complete rotating assembly removal including motor, coupling and impeller without disturbing pump housing or connected pipework.
- EN733 and ISO2858 dimensional compliance ensures interchangeability with other standard end-suction pumps across commercial and industrial installations.
- ATEX Zone 1, 2, 21 or 22 certification available for operation in potentially explosive atmospheres (except E-model variants).

What protective coating and metallurgical specifications govern this heavy flanged pump?
The heavy pressure boundary of Grundfos NB 80-200/171 integrates an electrocoated cast iron volute with a precision-cast bronze impeller.
For ongoing heavy pumping duty, what incoming voltage, power rating, and current are required?
Steady electrical propulsion in NB 80-200/171 is provided by a 22 kW motor running on a three-phase 415 V connection pulling 40.8 Amps.
Within central boiler plant rooms, how hot or cold can circulating water be under standard working pressure?
The mechanical seal design in NB-80-200-171 maintains tight fluid containment across -25°C to 120°C under pressures up to 16 bar.
Within regional district energy stations, what maximum vertical pressure column is produced?
Under full rotational induction drive, NB 80 200 171 provides an operational dynamic head of approximately 31.98 m.
Under unrestricted pipeline conditions, how much volumetric throughput can this pump achieve?
Under rated full-load conditions, NB/80/200/171 maintains a peak liquid discharge throughput of approximately 2675 L/Min.
