Product Overview

The TPE3 125-180 in-line centrifugal pump is specified for clean water circulation across commercial heating and cooling installations, district energy plants, and industrial utility headers. Operating with a 7.5 kW electric drive, the unit features inline DN 125 pipe connections that mount straight into active fluid transfer lines without requiring offset piping manifolds.

Hydraulic performance testing confirms a rated output volume of 3047 L/Min with an operational head rating of 12.87 m. The EN-GJL-250 cast iron volute casing handles system line pressures up to 16 bar. Internal fluid movement is driven by a durable Cast iron impeller fitted with a BQQE mechanical seal. Product net weight equals 148 kg.

The electric drive motor operates on a 3 x 380-500 V Three-phase power source drawing 14.1 Amps nominal operating current at 7.5 kW drive output. The pump processes clean, non-aggressive fluids across liquid temperatures between -25°C to 120°C under maximum working pressures up to 16 bar. Flanged connections feature matching DN 125 inlet and outlet porting.

Built with an IP55 dust and moisture resistant motor enclosure, the unit features Class F thermal insulation for reliable continuous duty. An integrated variable frequency drive (VFD) and PI controller adjust motor speed dynamically to match real-time flow demand. Servicing is simplified by the top-pull-out architecture, allowing removal of the motor head and rotating assembly without disturbing main line pipe joints.

Features

  • IP55 motor enclosure protection guards internal electrical components against ambient dust accumulation and water splash ingress.
  • Class F thermal motor insulation permits continuous operation under elevated fluid temperatures ranging from -25°C to 120°C.
  • Equal suction and discharge port diameters enable straightforward inline installation without requiring custom pipe reducer spools.
  • Integrated variable frequency converter with PI controller modulates motor RPM dynamically to balance flow demand and lower energy usage.
  • Top-pull-out structural layout enables complete drive head and impeller extraction without disconnecting the pump casing from system piping.
  • High-efficiency motor design delivers optimized hydraulic throughput with minimal electrical power consumption across variable duty cycles.
  • EN-GJL-250 cast iron volute housing provides robust pressure containment up to 16 bar in demanding hydronic circulation loops.

Across massive district distribution trunk lines, what peak flow volume can this unit sustain?

Displacing high fluid volumes across cooling trunk lines, Grundfos TPE3 125-180 achieves a peak delivery of approximately 3047 L/Min.

How do the electrocoated cast iron body and balanced impeller endure severe hydrodynamic stresses?

Heavy casing metallurgy in TPE3 125-180 incorporates an electrocoated cast iron body paired with an aerodynamically balanced cast iron impeller (EN-GJL-200).

Under full inverter frequency, what kilowatt rating, supply voltage, and current are required?

The large variable frequency drive of TPE3-125-180 delivers 7.5 kW of power, requiring a three-phase 415 V supply and drawing 14.1 Amps.

Across expansive district networks, what media temperature spectrum and pressure are certified?

Thermal limits certified for TPE3 125 180 safely span -25°C to 120°C under a maximum system working pressure of 16 bar.

Overcoming line friction across major district mains, what vertical head is achieved at full drive?

Conquering friction across primary district trunk headers, TPE3/125/180 sustains a maximum dynamic head of approximately 12.87 m.
