Product Overview

Operating on a 4 kW motor drive, the TPE3 80-250 single-stage inline pump handles fluid transfer across commercial building services, cooling tower circuits, and hydronic heating headers. Standardized DN 80 suction and discharge flanges permit inline line mounting, eliminating complex foundation coupling procedures.

Liquid handling performance provides a nominal flow rate of 1220 L/Min against a maximum head limit of 16.9 m. The cast iron volute body (EN-GJL-250) offers corrosion barrier protection for hydronic loops. The internal rotor houses a Composite impeller assembly supported by a BQQE shaft seal. Equipment net weight stands at 61.6 kg.

Engineered for Three-phase electrical systems (3 x 380-500 V), the 4 kW motor draws 7.60 Amps full-load current. Operating liquid temperatures cover a wide -25°C to 120°C span up to 16 bar system working pressure. Opposite DN 80 inlet and DN 80 discharge flanges provide standard pipe header compatibility.

Enclosure protection meets IP55 weatherization standards, supported by Class F motor insulation against high ambient temperatures. An onboard frequency converter with closed-loop PI control allows real-time variable speed tuning. The top-pull-out power head geometry permits technicians to perform seal or impeller maintenance while keeping the volute casing installed in system pipework headers.

Features

  • Equal suction and discharge port diameters enable straightforward inline installation without requiring custom pipe reducer spools.
  • Integrated variable frequency converter with PI controller modulates motor RPM dynamically to balance flow demand and lower energy usage.
  • Top-pull-out structural layout enables complete drive head and impeller extraction without disconnecting the pump casing from system piping.
  • High-efficiency motor design delivers optimized hydraulic throughput with minimal electrical power consumption across variable duty cycles.
  • EN-GJL-250 cast iron volute housing provides robust pressure containment up to 16 bar in demanding hydronic circulation loops.
  • Corrosion-resistant Composite impeller rotor is precision-balanced to minimize operational vibration and extend bearing lifecycle.
  • Standardized DN 80 flanged connections comply with EN 1092-2 for seamless drop-in integration into commercial pipe headers.

Providing automated curve control, what vertical elevation rating is certified for this unit?

Varying rotational thrust according to building load, Grundfos TPE3 80-250 achieves a peak dynamic lift of approximately 16.9 m.

Responding dynamically to sensor signals, what maximum fluid circulation volume is maintained on site?

Across intelligent hydronic circuits, TPE3 80-250 circulates a peak volumetric flow rate of approximately 1220 L/Min.

How do the casing metallurgy and impeller design withstand severe operating conditions?

Fluid containment reliability in TPE3-80-250 is maintained by a heavy cast iron shell incorporating an engineered composite impeller (PES-GF30).

Across the facility electrical grid, what motor wattage, supply feed, and amps run this pump?

Site wiring must provide a three-phase 415 V connection to operate the 4 kW motor of TPE3 80 250 with an amperage draw of 7.6 Amps.

For closed-circuit secondary loops, which fluid temperature ratings and pressure limits apply?

Circulation loops operating from -25°C to 120°C are accommodated by TPE3/80/250 under line working pressures up to 16 bar.
