Product Overview

Engineered for high-efficiency fluid circulation in hydronic building systems, the TPE3 80-340 is a single-stage, close-coupled in-line centrifugal pump driven by a 7.5 kW electric motor. Featuring equal suction and discharge porting (DN 80), this unit connects directly into vertical or horizontal header pipe runs across HVAC plant rooms, district heating loops, and commercial water circuits.

Under nominal duty conditions, the wet-end hydraulic assembly generates a rated flow capacity of 1577 L/Min alongside a maximum operational head limit of 22.8 m. The volute housing is constructed from EN-GJL-250 cast iron to ensure high structural pressure containment up to 16 bar. Inside, a precision-balanced Cast iron impeller works in tandem with a BQQE mechanical shaft seal. Net equipment weight measures 90.2 kg.

Electrical power for the TPE3 80-340 pump is supplied by a 3 x 380-500 V Three-phase electrical connection drawing 14.1 Amps under full load. The unit accommodates operating fluid media temperatures ranging from -25°C to 120°C under continuous line pressure ratings up to 16 bar. Pipework mounting is supported by opposite DN 80 inlet and DN 80 outlet flanged connections.

Motor protection complies with IP55 enclosure standards to guard internal windings against dust and moisture ingress, backed by Class F thermal insulation. An integrated frequency converter and PI controller provide continuously variable speed regulation to optimize energy consumption against system demand. The top-pull-out structural layout permits maintenance technicians to withdraw the motor drive and impeller assembly without unbolting the pump volute from connected system pipework flanges.

Features

  • Standardized DN 80 flanged connections comply with EN 1092-2 for seamless drop-in integration into commercial pipe headers.
  • Maintenance-free BQQE mechanical shaft seal prevents fluid leakage and maintains seal integrity under elevated working pressures.
  • IP55 motor enclosure protection guards internal electrical components against ambient dust accumulation and water splash ingress.
  • Class F thermal motor insulation permits continuous operation under elevated fluid temperatures ranging from -25°C to 120°C.
  • Equal suction and discharge port diameters enable straightforward inline installation without requiring custom pipe reducer spools.
  • Integrated variable frequency converter with PI controller modulates motor RPM dynamically to balance flow demand and lower energy usage.
  • Top-pull-out structural layout enables complete drive head and impeller extraction without disconnecting the pump casing from system piping.

What specific alloys and surface treatments are engineered into this variable speed pump?

To withstand hydraulic fatigue across duty cycles, Grundfos TPE3 80-340 utilizes an electrocoated cast iron volute with an aerodynamically balanced cast iron impeller (EN-GJL-200).

Under peak inverter frequency, what power rating, electrical line, and current are consumed?

Under maximum operating speed, TPE3 80-340 consumes 14.1 Amps across a three-phase 415 V electrical supply, driving its 7.5 kW motor.

Along primary distribution mains, how extreme can fluid temperatures become under rated pressure?

Safe fluid circulation across -25°C to 120°C is provided by TPE3-80-340 with maximum system working pressure tolerance up to 16 bar.

Through digital frequency management, what total vertical discharge column does this pump attain?

Automated curve control engineered into TPE3 80 340 provides a maximum dynamic elevation of approximately 22.8 m.

Modulating water velocity across varying occupancy shifts, what peak flow rate is sustained on site?

Modulating liquid displacement to lower energy overhead, TPE3/80/340 attains a peak flow volume of approximately 1577 L/Min.
