Product Overview
In longer domestic return loops and light commercial installations, the available head must overcome the pressure losses from extended pipe runs and multiple fittings. The Grundfos UP 20-45 N provides fixed-speed, continuous operation with a higher head rating than smaller circulators in the range, maintaining circulation performance at the furthest points of the loop.
Fixed-speed and continuous by design, it delivers 38.2 L/Min against 4.5 m of maximum head, powered by a 120 W motor drawing 0.52 A on 1 x 240 V. The available head allows the pump to maintain circulation through longer return lines where pressure losses are higher, supporting larger domestic systems and small commercial kitchens.
The stainless steel body and composite impeller are approved for potable water use, with a liquid temperature range extending down to -25°C and up to 110°C ” wider than most domestic circulators ” which suits installations exposed to cold plant rooms or unheated risers. Maximum system pressure is rated to 10 bar.
Internal thermal protection is built into the motor rather than relying on impedance limiting alone, and the enclosure is rated IPX2D for contact protection in service environments. At 150 mm port-to-port with 1 1/4 inch connections, it retrofits into the same pipe spacing as smaller models where more capacity is later required.

Warranty & Returns
All products supplied by Foundation Pumps are covered by a minimum 12-month warranty unless otherwise stated. Some brands may offer longer manufacturer warranties. Warranty covers manufacturing defects, faulty materials and workmanship under normal use.
- Products must be installed correctly and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Warranty does not cover incorrect installation, misuse, dry running, normal wear and tear, unauthorised repairs or damage caused by external factors.
- Proof of purchase, photos, videos and installation details may be requested when assessing a warranty claim.
- The customer is responsible for returning the product to Foundation Pumps or the nominated service centre unless otherwise agreed.
- Removal, reinstallation, labour and associated site costs are generally the customer’s responsibility unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
- Change-of-mind returns may be accepted within 30 days provided the product is unused, uninstalled and returned in its original packaging.
- Customers are responsible for return freight costs for change-of-mind returns.
- Restocking fees may apply to special-order, bulky or non-stocked products.
- Used, installed or specially ordered products may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns.
- If a product arrives damaged or faulty, please contact Foundation Pumps as soon as possible so we can assist with the appropriate repair, replacement or refund.
