Product Overview

Underfloor heating loops and longer radiator circuits often require slightly more flow than a compact pump provides, and the 180 mm-bodied Grundfos UPS 25-60 covers that gap while retaining the cast iron construction suited to closed-loop systems. It is built for domestic heating installations where the pump sits within a sealed circuit rather than a potable water line.

At full speed the pump reaches 36.2 L/Min against a maximum head of 6 m, drawing 60 W and 0.28 A from a 1 x 240 V supply across its top setting. The three-speed switch allows output to be reduced on smaller zones, with power stepping down to 50 W at the lowest setting to match actual heat demand.

As with other models in the UPS range, a canned rotor eliminates the mechanical shaft seal, with bearings lubricated by the system water itself. The cast iron housing and composite impeller are rated for liquid temperatures from 2°C to 110°C, covering both standard radiator loops and underfloor manifolds running at lower flow temperatures.

Maximum operating pressure is 10 bar, and the pump carries an IP44 enclosure rating for undercover installation. At 180 mm port-to-port with 1 1/2 inch connections, it shares its footprint with the 130 mm model's wider sibling in the cast iron heating range.

FEATURES

  • Cast iron housing specified for closed-loop heating systems
  • Three-speed selector permits field adjustment from 50 W to 60 W
  • Canned rotor design eliminates the mechanical shaft seal
  • Self-lubricating ceramic bearings are lubricated directly by the circulating system water
  • Composite impeller construction delivers consistent hydraulic performance in radiator and underfloor heating applications
  • Liquid temperature tolerance from 2°C to 110°C covers standard radiator circuits and low-temperature underfloor manifolds
  • Extended 180 mm port-to-port body dimension accommodates longer heating circuits and standard domestic pipe spacing

How much circulating flow volume does this three speed cast iron pump discharge through its pipe connections?

Supplying hydronic circuits through 180 mm port-to-port 1 1/2 inch connections, the UPS 25-60 maintains a peak circulating flow volume of approximately 36 L/Min.

How does the heavy cast iron housing material construction maintain structural integrity in heating loops?

Resisting mechanical wear across closed radiator loops, the Grundfos UPS 25-60 incorporates a rugged Cast Iron casing and composite impeller.

What electrical current in amps and selectable motor power drive this three speed heating circulator?

Three-speed motor configuration on the UPS-25-60 provides selectable output stepping up to 0.06 kW (60 W) across 240 V drawing a rated current of 0.28 Amps.

What maximum operating pressure in bar and radiator liquid temperature range govern this circulator?

Hydronic heating loop thresholds permit the Grundfos UPS 25 60 to maintain working pressures up to 10 bar across liquid temperatures from 2°C to 110°C.

What peak dynamic head can this three speed heating circulator achieve in hydronic loops?

Delivering reliable closed-loop propulsion for domestic radiators, the UPS_25_60 maintains a peak dynamic head of approximately 6 m.
