Product Overview
Delivering high head performance in a compact 40 mm bore, the Grundfos UPS 40-180 F 415V circulator pump targets demanding high-rise heating risers and central cooling circuits. It provides the pressure necessary to circulate thermal water across multiple building levels and high-loss coils.
The casing is cast from EN-GJL-250 iron with a 250 mm port-to-port dimension, housing an EN 1.4301 stainless steel impeller, stainless rotor can, and bearing plate. Rated for 10 bar operating pressure, the assembly withstands liquid temperatures from -10°C to 120°C and weighs 21.3 kg.
Running on 3 x 400-415 V 50 Hz power, the motor has a maximum power input (P1) of 770 W at 1.3 A at maximum speed, with three selectable speed steps. Peak performance yields a maximum head of 18 m and a flow rate of 12.01 m³/h (200 L/Min) through DN 40 DIN flanged ports.
Fluid-lubricated ceramic radial bearings and a carbon axial bearing deliver low-vibration operation without mechanical seal degradation. The motor enclosure provides IPX4D ingress protection with Class H insulation and integral thermal switch contacts.

Warranty & Returns
All products supplied by Foundation Pumps are covered by a minimum 12-month warranty unless otherwise stated. Some brands may offer longer manufacturer warranties. Warranty covers manufacturing defects, faulty materials and workmanship under normal use.
- Products must be installed correctly and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Warranty does not cover incorrect installation, misuse, dry running, normal wear and tear, unauthorised repairs or damage caused by external factors.
- Proof of purchase, photos, videos and installation details may be requested when assessing a warranty claim.
- The customer is responsible for returning the product to Foundation Pumps or the nominated service centre unless otherwise agreed.
- Removal, reinstallation, labour and associated site costs are generally the customer’s responsibility unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
- Change-of-mind returns may be accepted within 30 days provided the product is unused, uninstalled and returned in its original packaging.
- Customers are responsible for return freight costs for change-of-mind returns.
- Restocking fees may apply to special-order, bulky or non-stocked products.
- Used, installed or specially ordered products may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns.
- If a product arrives damaged or faulty, please contact Foundation Pumps as soon as possible so we can assist with the appropriate repair, replacement or refund.
