Puretec PL50MP1 Pleated Sediment MaxiPlus 50 Micron 4.5" x 10" Water Filter Cartridge

The Puretec PL50MP1 MaxiPlus cartridge is designed for heavy-sediment pre-filtration in commercial or farm washdown loops. This wide-diameter filter uses coarse pleated polyester to capture suspended solids with minimal pressure drop. It is suitable for MaxiPlus filter housings and connects directly to high-volume pump lines.

Regarding construction, the cartridge utilizes non-woven polyester fabric folded into a wide pleated configuration. This pleated synthetic media wraps around a wide central polypropylene core that provides structural stiffness. The multi-fold ends are sealed by immersion in thermo-setting vinyl plastisol PVC, creating a unitized cap.

Measuring 4.5 inches by 10 inches, the cartridge features a nominal filtration rating of 50 microns. It incorporates more than 16 square feet (1.48 square meters) of active pleated media to catch incoming particulates. The structural overlap seam is sonically welded, which blocks internal water bypass and increases physical capture efficiency.

The filter cartridge performs at a maximum flow limit of 100 L/Min, providing filtration with low flow restriction. It operates in liquid temperatures ranging from 4.4°C to 51.7°C (40°F to 125°F). Thanks to the washable non-woven fibers, the cartridge incorporates a reusable design, allowing routine washing to extend service runs.
