Product Overview

Underground carparks, residential areas, and livestock farms frequently encounter sewage and wastewater containing fibres and filaments that require effective grinding and pumping. The Zenit GRG 250/2/G40H A0AT5 is a 1.8 kW submersible grinder pump with ATEX Zone 1 certification, featuring a specialised high-speed grinding system combined with a multi-channel open impeller to prevent clogging. The unit is suitable for lifting sewage and wastewater in light industrial and professional settings.

Performance specifications include a maximum head of 28.2 metres and a maximum flow of 318 L/Min, powered by a 415V three-phase motor drawing 3.7 Amps. The 1.8 kW motor uses direct starting with 21.9 Amps starting current and produces 6.2 Nm of rated torque. These characteristics suit medium-head applications requiring grinding capability for sewage and wastewater transfer.

Hydraulic design incorporates an open channel impeller with grinder system, with the impeller manufactured from Cast Iron EN-GJL 250. The grinder mechanism uses a chromium steel cutter and cutting disk (X102 CrMo17 KU) that process solids and fibrous materials. Free passage is 0 mm as all solids are reduced by the grinding system before pumping.

Construction consists of a Cast Iron EN-GJL 250 casing with bi-epoxy 200 ?m sea water resistant coating. The shaft is stainless steel AISI 431, and sealing uses two mechanical seals in silicon carbide (2SiC). Motor protection includes Class H insulation, IP68 rating, thermal protection, and a leakage sensor. Cable length is 10 metres with 4G1 configuration, and the unit weighs 32.0 kg. A ZENS9024.006 Ring Stand is required for free-standing operation.
