Product Overview
Drilling rigs circulating abrasive-laden water spec this stainless-impeller mud pump, factory-fitted to chew through grit that destroys standard hydraulics at 440 litres a minute. Abrasive water is the design brief, not an afterthought. Abrasive rig circulation specifies GB2KQA/STHYDSSTC with a stainless impeller as standard.
Open flow reaches 440 L/min, shutting off at 18 m head (26 PSI). Cast-iron construction carries a stainless-steel open non-clog impeller for 19 mm solids, with tungsten-carbide mechanical seal faces and nitrile rubber behind it.
Rig hydraulics supply 8.5 cm3/rev at 100 bar (3 kW) to the Vivoil XV-2U/9 motor, so abrasive circulation needs no separate engine on the rig. Self-priming holds from 6 m through 50 mm ports, and blockages clear without pipe removal through the front-mounted clean-out port.
Drilling-rig work is the core application for this pump, covering rig-sump dewatering, abrasive-water movement and dust-suppression supply around active drilling areas. It is intended for the heavy, dirty-water duties that arise alongside bore drilling, with mobile deployment wherever the rig moves.
Features
- Rig-fed Vivoil XV-2U/9 at 8.5 cm3/rev and 100 bar (3 kW) circulates abrasive water with no engine.
- Circulation-grade abrasive flow gives 440 L/min open, shutting off at 18 m (26 PSI) and 19 mm solids.
- Grit-chewing stainless open non-clog impeller comes standard for long abrasive-water wear resistance.
- Tungsten-carbide faces with nitrile rubber seal the pump against grit ingress at pressure.
- Pipless clearing via a front-mounted clean-out port with 6 m self-priming keeps rigs drilling.
- At 18.5 kg, the package can be planned around appropriate lifting, skid or fixed-installation arrangements.
- Covered by the 3 year Aussie Pumps pump warranty.

How many litres of liquid per minute and vertical metres of head are rated across long transfer runs?
Operating across its performance curve, the Aussie Pumps Hydraulic Mud B2KQ-A/ST (GB2KQA-STHYDSSTC) discharges a maximum flow rate of approximately 440 L/min and develops a maximum elevation head of approximately 18 m.
How does wide-passage impeller geometry keep sediment and debris from accumulating across demanding site dewatering duties?
Spherical debris up to 19 mm in size clears the non-clog AISI 316 stainless steel impeller on the GB2KQA STHYDSSTC without obstructing discharge flow.
What hydraulic motor parameters govern connection to mobile machinery takeoffs during dust suppression operations?
Shaft rotation on the GB2KQA/STHYDSSTC is driven by a heavy hydraulic motor built to interface directly with mobile machinery hydraulic systems.
What vertical drafting capability does the internal priming chamber provide during everyday operations?
Vertical suction capability on the GB2KQA/STHYDSSTC reaches up to 6 m, evacuating intake line air swiftly without requiring a flooded suction inlet.
What design feature allows swift cleanout access without uncoupling connected pipework to restore full discharge throughput?
Internal waterways and the impeller of the B2KQ-A/ST (GB2KQA/STHYDSSTC) can be cleared rapidly through the front inspection hatch without disconnecting site hoses.
