Product Overview
Marine fire protection, deck washdown, and diesel transfer are the stated duties for this Skipper pump configuration. Engineered for proven service in severe coastal and maritime duties.
Hydraulic performance encompasses a maximum shut-off head of 60 m (85 PSI) at zero flow and an open-discharge flow capacity of up to 400 L/min at zero static head. The epoxy-coated aluminium casing houses a bronze closed impeller, bronze volute, ceramic/carbon seal, and zinc anode drain plug. Mass: 45 kg. High-tensile body metallurgy resists outdoor weathering and operational casing wear.
Driven by a fuel-efficient Yanmar L48 (4.8 HP) recoil-start diesel engine. Plumbing features a 2" inlet with 3-way discharge manifold (2 x 1" & 1 x 1.5"), replaceable flanged ports, stainless steel external fasteners, free Geomet couplings, and self-priming lift to 7.6 m. High-torque Yanmar diesel engine drive delivers strong fuel economy and operating endurance on site.
Built with stainless steel external hardware and sacrificial zinc anode protection for long service life on coastal vessels. Technical assembly schematics, user manuals, and replacement component stockists are available nationwide through Aussie Pumps distributor networks. Complete technical assembly schematics and spare parts stockists support ongoing field servicing.

What suction performance applies when pulling water from low dams and sumps?
The Aussie Pumps Sea Skipper Marine QP205SED (QP205SED-L48) achieves rapid self-priming from vertical depths up to approximately 7.6 m, drafting fluid without line flooding.
What makes this recoil-start marine pump suitable for dead-ship emergency duties?
Operating without batteries or electrical supply, the QP205SED-L48 starts via manual recoil rope, providing immediate firefighting and salvage pumping during total onboard electrical blackouts.
Which power source drives the impeller and how is it engaged?
The QP205SED-L48 utilizes a Yanmar L48 4.8HP recoil diesel engine, incorporating manual recoil rope starter to support rapid deployment.
How much fluid volume and dynamic head are produced during full throttle?
Depending on discharge piping resistance, the QP205SED L48 provides up to approximately 400 L/min in flow and up to approximately 60 m in head.
How are the suction inlet and discharge manifold configured for hose hookup?
Standard connection threading for the QP205SED/L48 comprises 2" BSP intake with a 3-way discharge manifold (two 1" and one 1.5" outlets), suiting standard line layouts.
