Demanding multi-storey plumbing systems and commercial washdown loops require high flow rates paired with serious vertical pressure capability. Configured with 1 Calpeda MXHL 405 horizontal multistage pump, the BS1F 1MXHL 405 boosting plant supplies up to 133.3 L/Min. Where high-pressure boosting is needed, the hydraulic stages can produce up to 52 m of head. This single-pump skid maintains stable outlet pressure even when distant upper-level fixtures draw simultaneously.
Automatic cut-in and cut-out operation relies on industrial differential pressure switches supervised by a dedicated microprocessor control board. By filtering out brief hydraulic transients with internal delay timers, the controller prevents rapid contactor wear and stabilises downstream line delivery. Integrated electronic protection circuits simultaneously guard the pump assembly against dry-running conditions and motor overload faults.
Water flows through corrosion-proof stainless steel AISI 304 suction and delivery headers sized with a 32 mm inlet and a 25 mm outlet. Factory-mounted isolation ball valves and a spring-assisted non-return valve keep the discharge column pressurised and allow clean maintenance shut-offs. The manifold also incorporates an analogue pressure gauge and a threaded take-off port for an external diaphragm expansion vessel.
Powered via a three-phase 415 V electrical feed, the close-coupled motor is wound with a three-phase 230/400 V rating. Running as a 2-pole induction machine at approximately 2900 rpm (50 Hz), it generates 1.1 kW (P2) of shaft power at a full-load current draw of 2.7 A. Compliance with IEC 60034 motor standards and Class F thermal insulation ensures cool, efficient performance during extended duty cycles.

All products supplied by Foundation Pumps are covered by a minimum 12-month warranty unless otherwise stated. Some brands may offer longer manufacturer warranties. Warranty covers manufacturing defects, faulty materials and workmanship under normal use.
- Products must be installed correctly and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Warranty does not cover incorrect installation, misuse, dry running, normal wear and tear, unauthorised repairs or damage caused by external factors.
- Proof of purchase, photos, videos and installation details may be requested when assessing a warranty claim.
- The customer is responsible for returning the product to Foundation Pumps or the nominated service centre unless otherwise agreed.
- Removal, reinstallation, labour and associated site costs are generally the customer’s responsibility unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
- Change-of-mind returns may be accepted within 30 days provided the product is unused, uninstalled and returned in its original packaging.
- Customers are responsible for return freight costs for change-of-mind returns.
- Restocking fees may apply to special-order, bulky or non-stocked products.
- Used, installed or specially ordered products may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns.
- If a product arrives damaged or faulty, please contact Foundation Pumps as soon as possible so we can assist with the appropriate repair, replacement or refund.
