Tall commercial risers and pressurised process lines require extra vertical lift to keep upper-level fixtures flowing consistently. Built around two Calpeda MXH 1606 horizontal multistage pumps, the BS2F 2MXH 1606 packaged booster station supplies up to 833.4 L/Min of combined flow. To overcome static elevation and pipe friction, the wet end can generate up to 68 m of head. Its twin-pump configuration provides dependable hydraulic redundancy and high-pressure stability across hospitals, multi-level residential towers, and commercial plant rooms.
Discharge line regulation is managed by calibrated differential pressure switches feeding directly into an onboard microprocessor control board. When a tap or valve opens, the primary pump engages to satisfy baseline demand, and the secondary unit steps in automatically if pressure continues to dip under heavy draw-off. Sequential duty sharing swaps the lead role between both pumps on subsequent starts, while anti-cycling timers eliminate nuisance chattering across the contactors.
All wetted collection pipework features hygienic stainless steel AISI 304 suction and delivery headers engineered for low friction loss. Plumbers can connect building mains directly to the 80 mm inlet manifold and route boosted water through the 65 mm outlet header. Integrated isolation ball valves and non-return check valves simplify individual pump servicing, while a dial pressure gauge and a dedicated mounting point for an external accumulator vessel streamline commissioning.
Energizing the booster skid requires a three-phase 415 V electrical feed matched to high-efficiency motors rated at three-phase 400/690 V. Both 2-pole induction units operate at a synchronous speed near 2900 rpm at 50 Hz, with each motor producing 4 kW (P2) of mechanical output and drawing 5.5 A at full load. All products supplied by Foundation Pumps are covered by a minimum 12-month warranty unless otherwise stated. Some brands may offer longer manufacturer warranties. Warranty covers manufacturing defects, faulty materials and workmanship under normal use.
- Products must be installed correctly and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Warranty does not cover incorrect installation, misuse, dry running, normal wear and tear, unauthorised repairs or damage caused by external factors.
- Proof of purchase, photos, videos and installation details may be requested when assessing a warranty claim.
- The customer is responsible for returning the product to Foundation Pumps or the nominated service centre unless otherwise agreed.
- Removal, reinstallation, labour and associated site costs are generally the customer’s responsibility unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
- Change-of-mind returns may be accepted within 30 days provided the product is unused, uninstalled and returned in its original packaging.
- Customers are responsible for return freight costs for change-of-mind returns.
- Restocking fees may apply to special-order, bulky or non-stocked products.
- Used, installed or specially ordered products may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns.
- If a product arrives damaged or faulty, please contact Foundation Pumps as soon as possible so we can assist with the appropriate repair, replacement or refund.
