Multi-storey commercial buildings and boutique hotels require dependable twin-pump redundancy coupled with elevated delivery head to keep upper-level fixtures operating smoothly. The BS2F 2MXHL 204 booster set meets this requirement by combining two Calpeda MXHL 204 horizontal multistage pumps on a shared skid assembly. The twin-pump station supplies up to 160 L/Min of combined flow to meet fluctuating daily water demand. For elevated pipework and risers, the multistage hydraulics can develop up to 42.5 m of head.
Intelligent cascade control manages both pumps through differential pressure switches connected to a central microprocessor control board. When a single fixture opens, the designated lead pump starts to maintain line pressure, and if simultaneous usage causes pressure to fall further, the lag pump engages automatically. Automatic duty alternation swaps the starting sequence between cycles while anti-cycling timers prevent rapid hunting, equalising running hours across both motors.
Common AISI 304 stainless steel suction and delivery headers link both pumps into a compact, corrosion-resistant plumbing assembly. Installers connect primary supply lines to a 50 mm suction manifold and route pressurised water out through a 40 mm delivery manifold. Dedicated isolation ball valves and non-return check valves on each branch allow individual pump maintenance without shutting down the building, supported by a system pressure gauge and an external tank connection point.
Industrial-grade electrical reliability starts with a three-phase 415 V power supply feeding motors rated for three-phase 230/400 V winding connections. Each close-coupled 2-pole induction motor runs at approximately 2900 rpm on 50 Hz mains power, producing 0.55 kW (P2) per pump and drawing 1.6 A at rated output. Constructed with Class F insulation in compliance with IEC 60034 standards, the drive units handle continuous commercial duty cycles effortlessly.

All products supplied by Foundation Pumps are covered by a minimum 12-month warranty unless otherwise stated. Some brands may offer longer manufacturer warranties. Warranty covers manufacturing defects, faulty materials and workmanship under normal use.
- Products must be installed correctly and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Warranty does not cover incorrect installation, misuse, dry running, normal wear and tear, unauthorised repairs or damage caused by external factors.
- Proof of purchase, photos, videos and installation details may be requested when assessing a warranty claim.
- The customer is responsible for returning the product to Foundation Pumps or the nominated service centre unless otherwise agreed.
- Removal, reinstallation, labour and associated site costs are generally the customer’s responsibility unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
- Change-of-mind returns may be accepted within 30 days provided the product is unused, uninstalled and returned in its original packaging.
- Customers are responsible for return freight costs for change-of-mind returns.
- Restocking fees may apply to special-order, bulky or non-stocked products.
- Used, installed or specially ordered products may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns.
- If a product arrives damaged or faulty, please contact Foundation Pumps as soon as possible so we can assist with the appropriate repair, replacement or refund.
