Upper-floor plumbing risers and multi-level residential developments rely on high-head dual-pump packages to guarantee uninterrupted water pressure on upper floors. Built around two Calpeda MXHL 205 horizontal multistage pumps, the BS2F 2MXHL 205 booster skid combines strong vertical lift with twin-pump security. The package delivers up to 160 L/Min of combined flow as building occupancy climbs. Where vertical lift is required, the multistage impellers can reach up to 53.5 m of head.
Dual-stage differential pressure switches interface directly with an onboard microprocessor control board to orchestrate lead and assist pump operation. Moderate draw-offs are handled efficiently by the lead pump alone, while heavier simultaneous usage triggers the second pump to hold line pressure steady. Automatic duty alternation rotates the lead role after every cycle and anti-cycling timers suppress rapid switching, ensuring even mechanical wear and long contactor life.
Polished AISI 304 stainless steel suction and delivery manifolds unite both pump branches into a hygienic, low-loss fluid network. Plumbers connect incoming water mains to the 50 mm suction header and feed building risers from the 40 mm discharge header. Each pump leg incorporates full-bore isolation ball valves and non-return check valves for uninterrupted single-pump servicing, alongside a manifold pressure gauge and a connection port for an external diaphragm vessel.
Robust three-phase power distribution feeds the control panel via a three-phase 415 V supply, driving motors configured with three-phase 230/400 V windings. Operating at approximately 2900 rpm on 50 Hz mains frequency, each 2-pole induction motor delivers 0.75 kW (P2) of shaft power and draws 2 A under full hydraulic load. Class F thermal insulation and strict adherence to IEC 60034 standards protect the windings during continuous plantroom operation.

All products supplied by Foundation Pumps are covered by a minimum 12-month warranty unless otherwise stated. Some brands may offer longer manufacturer warranties. Warranty covers manufacturing defects, faulty materials and workmanship under normal use.
- Products must be installed correctly and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Warranty does not cover incorrect installation, misuse, dry running, normal wear and tear, unauthorised repairs or damage caused by external factors.
- Proof of purchase, photos, videos and installation details may be requested when assessing a warranty claim.
- The customer is responsible for returning the product to Foundation Pumps or the nominated service centre unless otherwise agreed.
- Removal, reinstallation, labour and associated site costs are generally the customer’s responsibility unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
- Change-of-mind returns may be accepted within 30 days provided the product is unused, uninstalled and returned in its original packaging.
- Customers are responsible for return freight costs for change-of-mind returns.
- Restocking fees may apply to special-order, bulky or non-stocked products.
- Used, installed or specially ordered products may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns.
- If a product arrives damaged or faulty, please contact Foundation Pumps as soon as possible so we can assist with the appropriate repair, replacement or refund.
