Product Overview
Steep vertical risers and tall commercial properties require maximum delivery pressure paired with dual-pump operational security to keep top-floor fixtures supplied. Configured as the BS2F 2MXHL 206 boosting plant, this packaged skid integrates two Calpeda MXHL 206 horizontal multistage pumps on a heavy-duty frame. It provides up to 160 L/Min of combined flow when multiple fixtures open simultaneously. To serve demanding multi-storey networks, the pumps can develop up to 65 m of head.
Calibrated differential pressure switches work alongside a dedicated microprocessor control board to stage both pumps sequentially as building demand shifts. When a tap opens, the lead pump starts immediately, and if additional fixtures open and lower manifold pressure further, the assist pump joins in to stabilise delivery. Automatic duty alternation swaps the lead assignment between cycles while anti-cycling logic prevents rapid restarts during low-flow periods.
Precision-welded AISI 304 stainless steel suction and discharge manifolds connect both pumps into a unified, corrosion-proof hydraulic assembly. Site pipework couples to a 50 mm inlet manifold and distributes high-pressure water through a 40 mm outlet manifold. Individual isolation ball valves and non-return check valves on each pump branch allow maintenance without shutting off building water, complete with a system pressure gauge and an external expansion tank port.
Commercial plantroom switchboards power the unit via a three-phase 415 V electrical supply connected to motors rated for three-phase 230/400 V winding operation. Driven by 2-pole induction motors spinning at approximately 2900 rpm on 50 Hz mains power, each pump produces 1.1 kW (P2) of mechanical output while drawing 2.7 A at full load. Built with Class F insulation to IEC 60034 standards, the motors ensure long service life.

Warranty & Returns
All products supplied by Foundation Pumps are covered by a minimum 12-month warranty unless otherwise stated. Some brands may offer longer manufacturer warranties. Warranty covers manufacturing defects, faulty materials and workmanship under normal use.
- Products must be installed correctly and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Warranty does not cover incorrect installation, misuse, dry running, normal wear and tear, unauthorised repairs or damage caused by external factors.
- Proof of purchase, photos, videos and installation details may be requested when assessing a warranty claim.
- The customer is responsible for returning the product to Foundation Pumps or the nominated service centre unless otherwise agreed.
- Removal, reinstallation, labour and associated site costs are generally the customer’s responsibility unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
- Change-of-mind returns may be accepted within 30 days provided the product is unused, uninstalled and returned in its original packaging.
- Customers are responsible for return freight costs for change-of-mind returns.
- Restocking fees may apply to special-order, bulky or non-stocked products.
- Used, installed or specially ordered products may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns.
- If a product arrives damaged or faulty, please contact Foundation Pumps as soon as possible so we can assist with the appropriate repair, replacement or refund.
