Product Overview
Maintaining uniform delivery pressure across extensive commercial developments demands steady and balanced hydraulic support. Built with 2 Calpeda MXV 80-4807 vertical multistage pumps operating in a parallel staging arrangement, this variable-speed twin package ensures continuous pressure stability. At peak consumption, the dual-pump configuration produces a peak volumetric flow rate of 2000 L/Min to sustain commercial operations. Under closed-valve conditions, the vertical multistage stacks develop a maximum shut-off head of 126 m to overcome vertical building height.
Constant hydraulic delivery is achieved using a motor-mounted Calpeda I-MAT variable speed controller programmed for automated multi-pump management. The frequency converter adjusts motor rotational speed continuously to maintain target manifold pressure regardless of sudden fixture activations. Controlled deceleration and soft-starting profiles isolate the piping distribution network from shock loading and damaging hydraulic hammer effects. Embedded electronic safety protocols actively protect the package against low-suction dry operation, electrical supply phase faults, and excessive motor current.
Built to withstand substantial commercial system pressures, the pumps feature Cast Iron GJL 250 casings combined with AISI 304 stainless steel hydraulic stages and impellers. Common stainless steel manifolds connect the pumping assembly using 125 mm suction and 125 mm delivery ports with DN 125 flanged. Independent isolation valves and non-return valves isolate each hydraulic branch, equipped with an analog pressure gauge on an AISI 304 baseplate.
The pumping package is driven by two commercial-grade 2-pole induction electric motors engineered for three-phase 400 V (50 Hz) electrical mains in Australia. Both motors rotate synchronously at 2900 rpm, generating 2 x 18.5 kW of mechanical power with a combined rated full-load current draw of 2 x 34 Amps. Precision copper windings and Class F insulation provide exceptional thermal dissipation during continuous high-demand pumping duty.
Key Features
- Synchronized dual vertical multistage 7-stage hydraulic wet ends operate in parallel to produce smooth and balanced line pressure.
- An integrated motor-mounted Calpeda I-MAT variable frequency converter continuously modulates operating speed to sustain exact setpoint pressure.
- Heavy-duty Cast Iron pump casings paired with AISI 304 stainless steel stage chambers and impellers deliver exceptional structural rigidity.
- Weatherproof electric motor enclosures are sealed to IP55 standards with Class F thermal winding insulation for demanding plant room environments.
- Verified operating limits safely circulate clean commercial liquids across a working temperature spectrum of -15 °C to +110 °C.
- Controlled acceleration and deceleration ramp profiles eliminate sudden pressure spikes and safeguard building pipework from water hammer.
- Integrated digital safety electronics provide automated shutdown protection against dry-running, motor overcurrent, and electrical supply faults.
- Standardized DN 125 flanged manifold connections simplify mechanical alignment and expedite site pipework installation.
- Automated duty assist rotation equalizes operating run hours across both pumps to prevent uneven component wear.
- Supported by an official 24-month manufacturer warranty.
