Climbing steep vertical elevation or long horizontal pipe runs on single-phase sites requires a high-head twin booster package. Built around 2 Calpeda MXHLM 206 horizontal multistage pumps, the Calpeda BSM2F 2MXHLM 206 unit can develop up to 65 m of head for high-elevation plumbing. Under peak draw-off conditions, the twin pumps supply flow rates up to 160 L/Min. It is ideally suited to multi-storey residential risers, hillside estates, and commercial hot-water ring mains.
Dynamic load sharing between the two pumps is orchestrated by differential pressure switches with a microprocessor control board. Under moderate demand, a single pump maintains target line pressure, while the second pump cuts in sequentially if heavy draw pulls pressure toward the lower setpoint. Automatic duty alternation swaps the starting sequence on every cycle to balance wear, and anti-cycling delay logic prevents rapid relay chatter.
Scale-resistant stainless steel AISI 304 suction and delivery headers form the backbone of the hydraulic assembly, keeping potable water clean and uncontaminated. Plumbers connect site piping to a 50 mm inlet header and a 40 mm discharge header, with dedicated isolation ball valves and non-return check valves fitted to each branch. An onboard system pressure gauge and a connection point for an external accumulator vessel round out the manifold layout.
Operating entirely from a standard single-phase 230 V electrical supply and matching motor winding rating, this booster eliminates the need for three-phase power upgrades. Each 2-pole induction motor spins at approximately 2900 rpm (50 Hz), developing 1.1 kW (P2) of output power and drawing 7.4 A at full load. Built to IEC 60034 standards with Class F insulation, the drives provide long-lasting thermal endurance.

All products supplied by Foundation Pumps are covered by a minimum 12-month warranty unless otherwise stated. Some brands may offer longer manufacturer warranties. Warranty covers manufacturing defects, faulty materials and workmanship under normal use.
- Products must be installed correctly and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Warranty does not cover incorrect installation, misuse, dry running, normal wear and tear, unauthorised repairs or damage caused by external factors.
- Proof of purchase, photos, videos and installation details may be requested when assessing a warranty claim.
- The customer is responsible for returning the product to Foundation Pumps or the nominated service centre unless otherwise agreed.
- Removal, reinstallation, labour and associated site costs are generally the customer’s responsibility unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
- Change-of-mind returns may be accepted within 30 days provided the product is unused, uninstalled and returned in its original packaging.
- Customers are responsible for return freight costs for change-of-mind returns.
- Restocking fees may apply to special-order, bulky or non-stocked products.
- Used, installed or specially ordered products may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns.
- If a product arrives damaged or faulty, please contact Foundation Pumps as soon as possible so we can assist with the appropriate repair, replacement or refund.
