Multi-level residential buildings, boutique hotels, and busy food-service facilities need both strong flow capacity and extra vertical lift to keep upper-floor fixtures pressurised. The Calpeda BSM2F 2MXHLM 404 twin booster assembly integrates 2 Calpeda MXHLM 404 horizontal multistage pumps to deliver up to 266.6 L/Min of flow. To support elevated outlets and long pipe runs, the package can deliver up to 40.5 m of head. This dual-pump configuration provides reliable peak-load boosting alongside full standby security.
Balanced handoffs between the duty and assist pumps is handled by differential pressure switches with a microprocessor control board. Rather than running both motors continuously, the system activates one pump for routine demand and stages the second unit in only when heavy water usage drops line pressure further. Automatic duty alternation swaps the lead pump after each stop, while anti-cycling pressure switch logic protects the starters from rapid cycling.
Every primary fluid collector on the frame is fabricated from corrosion-resistant stainless steel AISI 304 to ensure hygienic operation in potable water networks. Site pipework mates cleanly with a 50 mm inlet and a 40 mm outlet engineered to reduce turbulence at higher flow velocities. Dedicated isolation ball valves, spring-loaded check valves, an analogue system pressure gauge, and a connection port for an external expansion vessel come factory fitted.
Both the control panel supply and the pump motor windings operate on a single-phase 230 V electrical rating, allowing straightforward installation without three-phase mains. Each 2-pole induction motor runs at approximately 2900 rpm (50 Hz), producing 0.75 kW (P2) per unit and drawing 5.7 A under full load. Compliant with IEC 60034 construction standards and protected by Class F insulation, the motors are built for continuous commercial duty.

All products supplied by Foundation Pumps are covered by a minimum 12-month warranty unless otherwise stated. Some brands may offer longer manufacturer warranties. Warranty covers manufacturing defects, faulty materials and workmanship under normal use.
- Products must be installed correctly and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Warranty does not cover incorrect installation, misuse, dry running, normal wear and tear, unauthorised repairs or damage caused by external factors.
- Proof of purchase, photos, videos and installation details may be requested when assessing a warranty claim.
- The customer is responsible for returning the product to Foundation Pumps or the nominated service centre unless otherwise agreed.
- Removal, reinstallation, labour and associated site costs are generally the customer’s responsibility unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
- Change-of-mind returns may be accepted within 30 days provided the product is unused, uninstalled and returned in its original packaging.
- Customers are responsible for return freight costs for change-of-mind returns.
- Restocking fees may apply to special-order, bulky or non-stocked products.
- Used, installed or specially ordered products may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns.
- If a product arrives damaged or faulty, please contact Foundation Pumps as soon as possible so we can assist with the appropriate repair, replacement or refund.
