Powered by 2 Calpeda MXHLM 405 horizontal multistage pumps, the Calpeda BSM2F 2MXHLM 405 package achieves up to 266.6 L/Min of full-load flow. For demanding vertical distribution, the multistage design can build up to 52 m of head. It keeps hot and cold water lines stabilised during intense morning and evening demand peaks.
Responsive cascade operation is governed by differential pressure switches with a microprocessor control board mounted in the integrated cabinet. When a tap opens and manifold pressure reaches the initial cut-in threshold, the lead pump starts smoothly, followed by the lag unit if high consumption persists. Automatic duty alternation rotates the primary assignment after every cycle to ensure uniform wear, while anti-cycling settings prevent rapid motor switching.
Suction and discharge collectors are precision-crafted from stainless steel AISI 304 to withstand elevated temperatures and resist internal corrosion. Plumbers connect building mains directly to a 50 mm inlet header and a 40 mm outlet header designed for low friction loss. Each pump branch includes dedicated isolation ball valves and non-return check valves, accompanied by a clear system pressure gauge and a tapping point for an external diaphragm vessel.
Because both the incoming power feed and motor windings are specified for single-phase 230 V service, the unit installs easily in buildings lacking three-phase supply. Each 2-pole induction motor operates at roughly 2900 rpm (50 Hz), generating 1.1 kW (P2) of shaft power and drawing 7.4 A per pump. All products supplied by Foundation Pumps are covered by a minimum 12-month warranty unless otherwise stated. Some brands may offer longer manufacturer warranties. Warranty covers manufacturing defects, faulty materials and workmanship under normal use.
- Products must be installed correctly and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Warranty does not cover incorrect installation, misuse, dry running, normal wear and tear, unauthorised repairs or damage caused by external factors.
- Proof of purchase, photos, videos and installation details may be requested when assessing a warranty claim.
- The customer is responsible for returning the product to Foundation Pumps or the nominated service centre unless otherwise agreed.
- Removal, reinstallation, labour and associated site costs are generally the customer’s responsibility unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
- Change-of-mind returns may be accepted within 30 days provided the product is unused, uninstalled and returned in its original packaging.
- Customers are responsible for return freight costs for change-of-mind returns.
- Restocking fees may apply to special-order, bulky or non-stocked products.
- Used, installed or specially ordered products may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns.
- If a product arrives damaged or faulty, please contact Foundation Pumps as soon as possible so we can assist with the appropriate repair, replacement or refund.
