Tall commercial towers and industrial process circuits often demand extreme pressure boosting where standard single-impeller pumps fall short. Engineered around a pair of Calpeda MXHL 209 horizontal multistage pumps, the BSM2V 2MXHL 209-EMT package delivers dependable high-pressure water transfer across multi-level properties. Operating in tandem during peak draw-offs, this twin-pump station supplies flow rates up to 160 L/Min. For steep hydraulic duties and high-rise plumbing, the multistage pumps can develop up to 97.1 m of head.

Variable-frequency regulation is handled directly by integrated I-MAT frequency converters mounted atop each individual motor housing. Rather than cycling abruptly between fixed cut-in and cut-out thresholds, the active drive continuously trims rotational speed to hold downstream pressure rock-steady as fixtures open and close. Automatic duty sharing alternates the lead pump to equalise mechanical wear, while built-in electronic diagnostics guard the hydraulic assembly against loss of prime and electrical anomalies.

Wetted collector pipework is constructed from AISI 304 stainless steel to prevent internal scaling and rust over decades of continuous service. Water is drawn into the skid via a 50 mm suction header and routed out to the building riser through a 40 mm discharge header. Individual isolation ball valves and spring-loaded check valves flank each pump for effortless maintenance isolation, complemented by a clear pressure gauge and a header tapping for an external vessel.

Site wiring remains remarkably straightforward because the system connects to a single-phase 230 V incoming circuit while feeding three-phase 230/400 V internal motor windings through its inverters. Every 2-pole induction drive spins up to 2900 rpm on 50 Hz frequency and conforms to IEC 60034 engineering benchmarks with Class F winding insulation. Each pump unit is rated at 1.5 kW output power and requires a modest nominal current of 3.6 A.
