Demanding high-rise risers, large commercial complexes, and long-distance pressurised mains need serious vertical lift paired with substantial flow capacity. Built around two Calpeda MXHL 408 horizontal multistage pumps on a heavy-duty baseplate, the BSM2V 2MXHL 408-EMT is the flagship high-head twin booster in the 400 series. Operating together at full capacity, the dual pumps deliver up to 266.6 L/Min. For demanding vertical distribution, the multistage design can build up to 84.8 m of head.
Precise pressure governance is handled by integrated I-MAT frequency converters mounted directly onto each motor assembly. Instead of operating at fixed full speed, the lead drive continuously adjusts rotational frequency to maintain constant downstream pressure as building draw-off changes. When peak demand arrives, the second converter brings the lag pump online smoothly, alternates duty cycles to balance component wear, and provides comprehensive dry-run and overload protection.
Hygienic AISI 304 stainless steel is used throughout the suction and delivery manifolds to prevent corrosion and contamination in potable or process water circuits. Site pipework connects to a 50 mm suction header and discharges through a 40 mm outlet header. Dedicated isolation ball valves and non-return check valves on each pump leg prevent backflow and simplify maintenance isolation, complemented by a pressure gauge and an external vessel port.
Engineered for single-phase electrical compatibility, the booster connects to a single-phase 230 V power supply while its onboard inverters drive three-phase 230/400 V motor windings. Each 2-pole induction motor runs at up to 2900 rpm on 50 Hz mains, conforming to IEC 60034 standards with Class F thermal insulation. Each pump motor produces 1.8 kW (P2) of mechanical power and draws 4.8 A at full duty.

All products supplied by Foundation Pumps are covered by a minimum 12-month warranty unless otherwise stated. Some brands may offer longer manufacturer warranties. Warranty covers manufacturing defects, faulty materials and workmanship under normal use.
- Products must be installed correctly and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Warranty does not cover incorrect installation, misuse, dry running, normal wear and tear, unauthorised repairs or damage caused by external factors.
- Proof of purchase, photos, videos and installation details may be requested when assessing a warranty claim.
- The customer is responsible for returning the product to Foundation Pumps or the nominated service centre unless otherwise agreed.
- Removal, reinstallation, labour and associated site costs are generally the customer’s responsibility unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
- Change-of-mind returns may be accepted within 30 days provided the product is unused, uninstalled and returned in its original packaging.
- Customers are responsible for return freight costs for change-of-mind returns.
- Restocking fees may apply to special-order, bulky or non-stocked products.
- Used, installed or specially ordered products may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns.
- If a product arrives damaged or faulty, please contact Foundation Pumps as soon as possible so we can assist with the appropriate repair, replacement or refund.
