Product Overview
Combining high-volume flow and commanding vertical lift, the BSM3V 3MXHL 408-EMT triple-pump booster station is engineered for major commercial towers, hospitals, and industrial water grids. Three horizontal multistage Calpeda MXHL 408 pumps are integrated onto a heavy-duty baseplate to supply up to 399.9 L/Min of flow. Where vertical lift is required, the multistage hydraulics can develop up to 84.8 m of head. Constructed with AISI 304 stainless steel wet-end components, the plant handles potable cold water and high-temperature circulation loops without risk of corrosion.
Central to the operating system are three integrated I-MAT frequency converters mounted directly onto the individual pump motors. These variable-speed drives continuously modulate motor rpm in response to live pressure feedback, holding downstream pressure steady while minimizing power draw during partial-load operation. As water consumption rises or falls, the controllers cascade pumps online smoothly, rotate duty assignments to equalize wear, and protect against dry running, overload, and supply anomalies.
All three pumps are piped into AISI 304 stainless steel manifolds featuring a 65 mm suction inlet and a 50 mm delivery outlet. Individual isolation ball valves and non-return check valves on every branch prevent reverse flow through idle pumps and allow technicians to isolate any single unit for maintenance without interrupting building water supply. The discharge manifold also houses a system pressure gauge and a threaded connection point for an external diaphragm tank.
Energized via a single-phase 230 V incoming supply, the onboard I-MAT inverters convert the feed to drive the three-phase 230/400 V motor windings. Each heavy-duty 2-pole induction motor delivers 1.8 kW (P2) of shaft power and draws 4.8 A while running at approximately 2900 rpm (50 Hz). Built in strict accordance with IEC 60034 standards and fitted with Class F thermal insulation, the motors ensure long-lasting reliability under demanding duty cycles.

All products supplied by Foundation Pumps are covered by a minimum 12-month warranty unless otherwise stated. Some brands may offer longer manufacturer warranties. Warranty covers manufacturing defects, faulty materials and workmanship under normal use.
- Products must be installed correctly and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Warranty does not cover incorrect installation, misuse, dry running, normal wear and tear, unauthorised repairs or damage caused by external factors.
- Proof of purchase, photos, videos and installation details may be requested when assessing a warranty claim.
- The customer is responsible for returning the product to Foundation Pumps or the nominated service centre unless otherwise agreed.
- Removal, reinstallation, labour and associated site costs are generally the customer’s responsibility unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
- Change-of-mind returns may be accepted within 30 days provided the product is unused, uninstalled and returned in its original packaging.
- Customers are responsible for return freight costs for change-of-mind returns.
- Restocking fees may apply to special-order, bulky or non-stocked products.
- Used, installed or specially ordered products may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns.
- If a product arrives damaged or faulty, please contact Foundation Pumps as soon as possible so we can assist with the appropriate repair, replacement or refund.
