Designed for civil and residential installations throughout Australia, this three-phase submersible grinder pump efficiently manages wastewater containing paper, textile and long filamentary materials. It is intended for permanent submerged installation in collection pits where wastewater must be macerated before discharge through small-diameter pipework. The unit operates with liquid temperatures up to 35°C in fixed vertical installations.
The 1.1 kW motor delivers a maximum flow rate of 250 L/min and reaches a maximum head of 19.2 m. Operating on a 415v supply, it draws a rated current of 2.8 Amps while the submerged motor is designed for continuous duty operation. The horizontal delivery outlet accommodates both DN 32 PN 6 flanged and G 1 1/2 threaded pipe connections to simplify installation.
Wastewater is processed through a patented grinding mechanism using hardened AISI 440C rotating and fixed cutting blades that reduce paper, textile and long filamentary materials to a 6 mm solid passage. Combined with a cast iron open impeller, this hydraulic arrangement delivers reliable wastewater transfer while reducing the likelihood of discharge line blockages.
The pump body is manufactured from GJL 200 cast iron for excellent structural strength in permanent submerged service. A double mechanical shaft seal with an intermediate oil chamber protects the motor against water ingress, while the AISI 304 stainless steel motor jacket, AISI 303 shaft and triple impregnation humidity-proof winding provide long-term durability in demanding wastewater applications.
