Automated collection and transfer of wastewater containing paper, textile and long filamentary materials is the primary function of this single-phase submersible grinder pump. Designed for residential installations throughout Australia, it is ideal for collection pits where solids must be macerated before entering the discharge line. An integrated float switch automatically controls pump operation while handling liquid temperatures up to 35°C.

Powered by a 1.1 kW single-phase motor, the pump delivers a maximum flow rate of 250 L/min and reaches a maximum head of 19.2 m. Operating on a 240v supply, it draws a rated current of 7.5 Amps and is supplied with a dedicated control box incorporating starting capacitors and thermal protection. The submerged motor is designed for continuous duty operation in fixed installations.

The hydraulic system incorporates a patented grinding mechanism utilizing hardened AISI 440C rotating and fixed cutting blades. This configuration reduces paper, textile and long filamentary materials to a 6 mm solid passage before they pass through the cast iron open impeller, significantly reducing the likelihood of discharge line blockages. The horizontal delivery outlet supports both DN 32 PN 6 flanged and G 1 1/2 threaded pipework connections.

Manufactured with a GJL 200 cast iron pump casing and impeller, the unit provides excellent mechanical strength for permanent submerged service. A double mechanical shaft seal with an interposed oil chamber protects the motor against water ingress, while the AISI 304 stainless steel motor jacket, AISI 303 shaft and triple impregnation humidity-proof dry winding provide dependable long-term performance.
