Emptying flooded tanks and managing residential drainage is handled by the Calpeda GQRM 10-12. This single-phase submersible unit is engineered for clean water containing suspended solids up to 10 mm in grain size. It is suitable for domestic and civil applications including rainwater pit extraction and irrigation, supporting continuous duty operation at liquid temperatures up to 35°C.

Operating on a single-phase 240v supply, this 0.55 kW pump delivers consistent hydraulic stability with an 11.5 m maximum head and 350 L/min flow rate. Drawing a rated current of 3.6 Amps, internal cooling is achieved by fluid circulating between the motor jacket and outer shell. This supporting design allows for safe service during partial submersion, while the automatic float switch manages start/stop cycles.

An open single impeller design manufactured from cast iron moves clean water efficiently through the vertical threaded delivery port. An integrated AISI 304 stainless steel filter at the base prevents the entry of oversized debris, protecting the internal hydraulics. Automatic operation requires a water level of 425 mm for activation, with manual extraction possible down to a level of 220 mm.

Construction consists of a cast iron GJL 200 pump casing and motor jacket, with sealing provided by a double mechanical shaft seal and oil chamber housing pharmaceutical-grade oil. The induction motor includes an incorporated capacitor, a built-in thermal protector, and a triple impregnation humidity-proof dry winding. It is rated for continuous immersion at depths up to 5 meters.

    FEATURES

    • Manufactured using GJL 200 cast iron for the pump casing and impeller to ensure structural longevity.
    • Oil-lubricated double mechanical shaft seal protects the motor against water ingress and provides lubrication.
    • Seal chamber contains oil for food machinery and pharmaceutic use as per datasheet specifications.
    • Integrated float switch provides automated start and stop functionality for unattended drainage tasks.
    • Internal cooling is achieved by fluid circulating between the motor jacket and outer shell during operation.
    • Open impeller design in cast iron facilitates passage of solids up to 10 mm without compromising hydraulics.
    • Motor reliability is supported by a triple impregnation humidity-proof dry construction per EN 60335-2-41.
    • Safe continuous duty immersion up to 5 meters is supported by an IP X8 protection rating and 10m cable.
