Handling slightly dirty water drainage and managing sewage wastewater transfer is the primary function of the Calpeda GXV 40-7. This three-phase submersible pump is manufactured from chrome-nickel stainless steel and is suitable for liquids containing suspended solids up to 35 mm. It is rated for continuous duty in both civil and industrial drainage applications where the liquid temperature does not exceed 35°C.

Operating on a 415v three-phase supply, the 0.55 kW motor delivers a 250 L/min flow rate and reaches a maximum head of 6.2 m. drawing 1.6 Amps, internal cooling is achieved by fluid circulating between the motor jacket and outer shell. This thermal management configuration ensures the unit can operate safely during extended run cycles even when the motor is only partially submerged in pits or tanks.

Hydraulic performance is produced by a free-flow vortex impeller design housed within a vertical delivery port casing. This configuration is particularly suitable for liquids with a high solid content or filamentous particles, preventing clogging during the extraction of dirty water. The integrated filter restricts oversized solids, supporting a minimum submersion depth of 250 mm during service.

Mechanical durability is provided by the use of chrome-nickel stainless steel AISI 304 for the pump casing, impeller, and motor jacket. Sealing is managed by a double mechanical shaft seal with an interposed oil chamber housing oil for food and pharmaceutical machinery. The 2-pole induction motor features a triple impregnation humidity-proof dry winding and is IP X8 rated for immersion up to 5 meters.
