Designed for rainwater collection and drainage applications while handling solids up to 35 mm, the Calpeda GXVM 40-9 provides reliable automated service. This single-phase submersible unit is engineered for both clean and dirty water transfer in domestic and civil environments. It supports continuous duty operation at liquid temperatures up to 35°C in standing installation positions within pits or tanks.
Hydraulic output reaches a maximum flow rate of 350 L/min and reaches a total head of 8.1 m. Powered by a 0.9 kW 240v motor drawing a rated current of 6 Amps, the pumped liquid dissipates motor heat during operation. This self-cooling capability ensures the unit can operate safely during extended run cycles even when partially submerged, while an integrated float switch provides automated start/stop functionality.
Water passes through a single-impeller free-flow vortex configuration manufactured from AISI 304 stainless steel. This design is particularly suitable for liquids with a high solid content, ensuring that filamentous particles can pass without compromising flow. The vertical delivery port simplifies direct pipework connection, while smooth internal surfaces facilitate easy cleaning and maintenance during service.
Close-coupled construction features a chrome-nickel stainless steel AISI 304 pump body and motor jacket. Sealing is achieved using a double mechanical shaft seal with an oil chamber housing pharmaceutical-grade oil. The motor features a triple impregnation humidity-proof dry winding, an incorporated capacitor, and a built-in thermal protector for reliable performance in submerged environments.
