The DAB FEKA VS GRINDER A is a submersible pump with shredder for sewage, certified to EN 12050-1 for lifting systems handling wastewater containing faecal matter in buildings. This automatic version incorporates an integrated float switch, managing fluid transfer in commercial building service and grey water pumping networks.
Performance relies on a dry asynchronous and waterproof motor cooled directly by the pumped liquid. Operating on a single-phase 240v electrical supply, the 1.0 kW system achieves a max flow rate of 240 L/Min and vertical head up to 25 m. The unit draws a rated current of 6.4 Amps during continuous draining cycles.
The unit is constructed with a cast iron pump body and base casting, producing a net weight of 23 kg for stable submerged positioning. The main hydraulic chamber houses a vortex impeller cast from iron, working in tandem with a grinding system manufactured from AISI 630 stainless steel to process solid matter before expulsion through the 40 mm outlet. The motor is Class F insulated with IP68 protection.
Fluid containment utilizes a double mechanical seal arrangement with an interposed non-toxic oil chamber. The motor side uses carbon-alumina materials, while the pump side utilizes silicon carbide to prevent liquid bypass into the stainless steel motor casing. This assembly supports installations reliant on small diameter pipes requiring high pressures, with a maximum immersion depth of 7 meters.
