Product Overview
The Davey Monsoon IQ 2MIQ3-8-3-A Variable Speed Booster Pump Set is a fully integrated twin-pump pressure boosting system designed to provide consistent water pressure across varying levels of demand. Featuring two Davey VM3-8 stainless steel vertical multistage pumps operating in parallel, the system combines intelligent variable speed control with the advanced Monsoon IQ touchscreen controller for professional commercial, residential, irrigation and industrial water supply applications.
The Monsoon IQ system continuously monitors system pressure and automatically adjusts the speed of the active pumps to maintain the selected set-point pressure. As water demand increases or decreases, the system varies pump output accordingly, providing smooth pressure control while optimising the operation of the complete pumpset.
Each VM3-8 pump is powered by a 0.75kW three-phase motor and controlled through a dedicated Vacon variable speed drive. The twin-pump arrangement provides additional system capacity while allowing the intelligent controller to manage pump operation according to actual water demand.
A large 10.1-inch high-resolution touchscreen interface provides straightforward access to system operation, pressure settings, status information and system data. Monsoon IQ also incorporates remote connectivity capabilities, allowing integration with the Monsoon IQ cloud, as well as connection points for SCADA and Building Management Systems (BMS).
The complete booster package incorporates 304 stainless steel suction and discharge manifolds, suction-side non-return valves, suction and discharge isolation valves, pressure tank, variable speed drives, Monsoon IQ controller and common base, providing a professionally engineered and integrated booster system.
Designed for demanding water supply installations, the 2MIQ3-8-3-A features an 18L pressure tank, 2" BSPT system connections and a maximum system pressure rating of 16 bar, making it suitable for applications ranging from commercial building pressure boosting through to irrigation, agriculture and industrial water supply.

Warranty & Returns
All products supplied by Foundation Pumps are covered by a minimum 12-month warranty unless otherwise stated. Some brands may offer longer manufacturer warranties. Warranty covers manufacturing defects, faulty materials and workmanship under normal use.
- Products must be installed correctly and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Warranty does not cover incorrect installation, misuse, dry running, normal wear and tear, unauthorised repairs or damage caused by external factors.
- Proof of purchase, photos, videos and installation details may be requested when assessing a warranty claim.
- The customer is responsible for returning the product to Foundation Pumps or the nominated service centre unless otherwise agreed.
- Removal, reinstallation, labour and associated site costs are generally the customer’s responsibility unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
- Change-of-mind returns may be accepted within 30 days provided the product is unused, uninstalled and returned in its original packaging.
- Customers are responsible for return freight costs for change-of-mind returns.
- Restocking fees may apply to special-order, bulky or non-stocked products.
- Used, installed or specially ordered products may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns.
- If a product arrives damaged or faulty, please contact Foundation Pumps as soon as possible so we can assist with the appropriate repair, replacement or refund.
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law are not affected.
