Product Overview

Beverage bottling operations and regional breweries specify the Davey Monsoon single pump variable speed booster system for washdown circuits. Equipped with a vertical multistage pump assembly, the unit sustains line pressure stability across demanding plumbing lines. This packaged assembly supplies an integrated booster solution to prevent pressure dropouts across elevated risers.

The variable speed hydraulic architecture supports fluid distribution up to 233 L/min. Across elevated vertical distribution lines, the multistage hydraulic wet end generates up to 163 metres of maximum shut-off head to overcome static elevation losses. Internal impellers and intermediate stage diffusers are manufactured from AISI 304 stainless steel to maintain fluid purity and hydraulic efficiency. A hard-faced mechanical seal and reinforced casing construction support operating system pressures up to 25 bar (2,500 kPa PN25).

The electric motor package provides smooth mechanical torque to the vertical multistage hydraulic stack. Speed regulation is governed by an integrated variable frequency drive controller, continuously matching motor speed to instantaneous draw to stabilize pipeline pressure. The electrical package connects to a 240V supply at 50 Hz drawing a rated current of 32.2 Amps. Pre-plumbed hydraulic connections feature standardized 1-1/2" BSP ports, rated for clean liquid operating temperatures from 0°C to 40°C.

Built to withstand plant room demands, the unit features a rugged structural steel skid. Integrated elastomeric mounts isolate pump vibrations, protecting connected distribution pipework from mechanical stress and acoustic transmission. Engineered and assembled to meet demanding Australasian commercial plumbing standards, the system benefits from comprehensive Davey technical support and readily available nationwide spare parts.

What voltage rating and motor inverter electronics govern this pumping package?

Frequency drive regulation on the Davey Monsoon VM10-14 Single Phase 5.5kW Variable Speed Booster Pump Set with 18L Tank utilizes Single Phase 240V electrical mains at 50 Hz, powering a 5.5 kW motor drawing 32.2 Amps under integrated variable speed inverter control.

How many metres of vertical head can this multistage hydraulic wet end generate?

Developing up to 163 metres of maximum static head, the 1M1V10-14M-18HP sustains casing pressures up to PN25 (25 bar) across fluid temperatures up to 90 deg C.

What pipe connection diameters, internal metals, and diaphragm tank are included?

Wetted construction on the 1M1V-10-14M-18HP combines 304 stainless steel hydraulic components seated on a mounting chassis, linked by DN40 (40 mm) flanged ports and an 18L 16bar expansion tank.

What factory warranty periods apply to the hydraulic wet end and speed drive?

Warranty protection supporting the 1M1V 10 14M 18HP encompasses official Davey coverage including 2 years on both the pump wet end and the variable speed drive unit against manufacturing defects.

What peak water delivery volume can this variable speed system discharge?

To satisfy heavy site water demand, the VM10-14 (1M1V10-14M-18HP) provides up to 233 L/min (14.0 m3/h) modulated by electronic frequency control.
