Designated for municipal and industrial wastewater, the 100 DS 55.5 is an addition to the Model DS series. It is suitable for sump drainage and stormwater removal for cellar draining, utility pits, and rainwater collection systems. Installation methods include quick discharge connector systems and standard freestanding installations. It is suitable for guide rail auto-coupling and standard freestanding installations.
Features of construction include a casing made from cast iron casing, cast iron impeller, and 304 stainless steel motor frame, with 403 stainless steel shaft. Inside, the semi-open impeller has a measurement of 100 mm. The unit is designed for clear wastewater containing small non-abrasive suspended solids. The allowable liquid temperature range goes up to 40°C.
Operating at 2920 RPM, the 5.5 kW motor requires a three-phase 415v power feed with a current of 9.8 Amps. The hydraulic performance curve peaks at 29 metres of head and 1350 L/Min of flow. The discharge connection is sized at 100 mm.
Class F motor insulation and an IP68 rating provide environmental protection for submerged operation. The design allows submersion depths up to 8 metres. Shaft sealing is performed by a double mechanical seal with silicon carbide faces. This model uses direct on line starting with high-speed 2-pole motor rotation.
