Designed for wastewater containing soft solids, this automatic vortex submersible pump is rated for vertical installation in collection sumps and manages liquid temperatures up to 50°C for domestic and light industrial service. Unattended operation is secured by a pre-installed float switch that activates the system when water levels rise within a standard 400 x 400 mm pit.

Performance characteristics for this 0.25 kW motor include flow capacities of up to 170 L/Min and a total head reaching up to 6 m. Running on a 240v single-phase power supply, the unit draws a full load current of 2.2 Amps. The air-filled 2-pole induction motor is built for reliable submerged service and is supplied with 5 meters of cable.

The vortex impeller design creates a large internal clearance between the rotating component and the pump casing to prevent blockages. This configuration enables the passage of suspended soft solids up to 20 mm in diameter through the 32 mm discharge port. This non-clog hydraulic path is ideal for dewatering tasks where the water source contains soft fibrous materials or organic debris.

Materials include 304 stainless steel for the pump casing, impeller, motor cap, and frame to ensure durability in submerged environments. Protection is provided by a mechanical seal in an oil-lubricated chamber utilizing Carbon/Ceramic faces alongside an upper lip seal. The rotating assembly features an AISI 303 stainless steel shaft extension and includes an in-built overload protector for motor winding safety.

    FEATURES

    • Minimum pit dimensions of 400 x 400 mm ensure correct float switch movement and activation.
    • Large internal clearance between impeller and casing allows 20 mm solids to pass without clogging.
    • Carbon/Ceramic mechanical seal faces provide reliable sealing in wastewater service.
    • Upper NBR lip seal offers additional protection against moisture ingress at the motor side.
    • White mineral oil (Esso Marcol 152) lubricates the mechanical seal chamber.
    • AISI 303 stainless steel shaft with ceramic-coated sleeve enhances wear resistance.
    • Built-in thermal overload protector safeguards the motor winding from damage.
    • Class F insulation and IPX8 protection support reliable service in wastewater reaching 50°C.
