The vortex impeller is designed for non-clog operation when handling storm water containing soft or fibrous solids. This hydraulic design facilitates the transfer of fluids with suspended matter up to 50 mm in diameter without the risk of impeller blockage. Discharge is handled through a 50 mm vertical discharge connection arranged for stationary or transportable service.
Structural features include a 304 stainless steel pump casing, motor frame, and impeller for resistance to corrosion in submerged environments. Sealing is handled by a double mechanical seal in an oil-lubricated chamber with Silicon Carbide lower faces and Carbon/Ceramic upper faces. The rotating assembly is supported by a 303 stainless steel shaft and sealed ball bearings.
Storm water drainage and dirty water transfer are primary applications for this vertical submerged pump. It is rated for liquid temperatures up to 40°C and maximum submergence depths of 10 meters. The manual configuration is designed for use in collection pits where external control or continuous drainage is required.
Operating with a 0.55 kW motor, this manual single-phase unit reaches flow rates of up to 400 L/Min and a total head of up to 6.3 m. It draws a rated current of 3.9 Amps on a 240v supply and is supplied with 10 m of submersible power cable. The air-filled 2-pole induction motor includes in-built thermal protection to safeguard the winding.
