The Grundfos CMB 1-36 is a compact pressure boosting pump designed for domestic water supply and light commercial applications. It is supplied as a complete booster unit with an integrated PM1 pressure manager, allowing automatic start and stop operation based on water demand while protecting the pump from dry running.
The pump features a robust cast iron pump housing combined with multistage stainless steel impellers (AISI 304), providing strength, corrosion resistance, and consistent performance. The integrated return valve enhances system reliability, while the compact design allows easy installation in residential water systems.
The pump delivers a rated flow of 1.7 m³/h with a corresponding head of 23.7 metres. Based on the performance curve, it achieves a maximum head of approximately 36 metres at shut-off and a maximum flow of approximately 40 L/min under low head conditions. The unit is not self-priming and supports a maximum suction lift of 1 metre.
The unit is powered by a 0.5 kW electric motor operating on a 1 x 220–230 V, 50 Hz supply. The PM1 controller operates with a fixed start pressure of 1.5 bar, ensuring consistent pressure boosting performance for household applications.
