The Grundfos CMB 3-46 is a compact pressure boosting pump designed for domestic water supply and light commercial applications. It is supplied as a complete booster unit with an integrated PM1 pressure manager, enabling automatic operation based on system demand while protecting the pump from dry running.

The pump features a cast iron housing combined with multistage stainless steel impellers (AISI 304), delivering strength, corrosion resistance, and consistent hydraulic performance. The integrated non-return valve supports stable system operation and prevents backflow.

The pump operates at a rated flow of 3.1 m³/h with a corresponding head of 30.5 metres. Based on the performance curve, it delivers a maximum flow of approximately 70 L/min at low head conditions and achieves a maximum head of approximately 46 metres at shut-off. The unit is not self-priming and supports a maximum suction lift of 1 metre.

The unit is powered by a 0.5 kW electric motor operating on a 1 x 220–230 V, 50 Hz supply. The PM1 controller operates with a start pressure of 2.2 bar, ensuring consistent and automatic pressure boosting performance for residential systems.

    FEATURES
    • Automatic Operation: PM1 controller enables demand-based start/stop for efficient system control
    • Dry-Run Protection: Built-in protection prevents pump damage during water shortage conditions
    • Self-Regulating Pressure System: Maintains consistent pressure without manual adjustment
    • Compact Booster Design: Pre-assembled unit for quick installation and minimal setup time
    • Non-Return Valve: Integrated check valve prevents backflow and maintains system pressure
    • Multistage Hydraulic Design: Ensures smooth pressure delivery across varying demand levels
    • Corrosion-Resistant Construction: Stainless steel wet-end components enhance durability
    • Low Maintenance Operation: Simplified design reduces servicing requirements
    • Quiet Performance: Designed for low noise operation in residential environments
    • Plug-and-Play Installation: Ready-to-use system with minimal commissioning required
