The Grundfos CMB 5-75 (PS) is an automatic pressure pump system designed for water distribution, agricultural supply, and light commercial applications where minor leakage conditions may occur. The system consists of a Grundfos CM pump, a five-way valve, and a pressure switch, enabling automatic operation based on system pressure.
This system requires a pressure tank to be installed in order to operate correctly and maintain stable pressure performance. Once connected to the pipeline and power supply, the unit provides automatic water pressure control based on demand.
The pump is constructed with a stainless steel pump housing and multistage stainless steel impellers (AISI 304), delivering excellent corrosion resistance and long service life. The integrated non-return valve ensures stable system operation and prevents backflow.
The pump operates at a rated flow of 4.7 m³/h with a corresponding head of 62.4 metres. According to the performance data, the unit achieves a maximum head of 74.6 metres at shut-off and delivers a maximum flow of approximately 100 L/min under low head conditions. The system is not self-priming and supports a maximum suction lift of 1 metre.
The unit is powered by a 1.7 kW electric motor operating on a 1 x 220–230 V, 50 Hz supply. The pressure switch provides adjustable control within a range of 3 to 12 bar, allowing flexible pressure management depending on system requirements.
