The Grundfos CMB 5-93 (PS) is an automatic pressure pump system designed for rural water supply, agricultural applications, and light commercial installations where minor leakage conditions may occur. The system consists of a Grundfos CM pump, a five-way valve, and a pressure switch, enabling automatic operation based on system pressure.
This system requires a pressure tank to be installed to complete the booster setup and maintain stable pressure performance. Once connected to the pipeline and power supply, the unit operates automatically based on pressure demand.
The pump is constructed with a stainless steel pump housing and multistage stainless steel impellers (AISI 304), ensuring corrosion resistance and long service life. The integrated non-return valve supports stable operation and prevents backflow within the system.
The pump operates at a rated flow of 4.7 m³/h with a corresponding head of 78.2 metres. As shown in the performance data and curve, the unit achieves a maximum head of 93.3 metres at shut-off and delivers a maximum flow of approximately 100 L/min under low head conditions. The system is not self-priming and supports a maximum suction lift of 1 metre.
The unit is powered by a 1.9 kW electric motor operating on a 1 x 220–240 V, 50 Hz supply. The pressure switch provides adjustable control within a range of 3 to 12 bar, allowing flexible pressure management depending on system requirements.
