The Grundfos CMB-SP 5-28 is a self-priming pressure boosting pump designed for irrigation systems, water transfer, and light-duty pressure boosting applications. It is supplied as a complete booster unit with an integrated PM2 pressure manager, enabling automatic start and stop operation based on demand while providing dry-run protection and automatic restart.
Constructed with a stainless steel pump housing and multistage stainless steel impellers (AISI 304), the pump ensures reliable performance, corrosion resistance, and long service life. The compact booster configuration allows easy installation and consistent operation across various water systems.
The pump operates at a rated flow of 4.7 m³/h with a corresponding head of 22.1 metres. Based on the performance curve, the unit delivers a maximum flow of approximately 100 L/min at low head conditions and achieves a maximum head of approximately 28 metres at shut-off. It supports a self-priming suction lift of up to 4 metres.
The unit is powered by a 0.5 kW electric motor operating on a 1 x 220–230 V, 50 Hz supply. The integrated PM2 controller ensures automatic pressure control and efficient operation without external intervention.
