The Grundfos CMBE 5-62 is a variable speed pressure boosting pump designed for domestic and light commercial applications including pressure boosting, irrigation, and system pressurisation. It maintains constant pressure through its integrated frequency converter, automatically adjusting motor speed based on system demand.
The pump is constructed with a stainless steel pump housing and stainless steel impellers (AISI 304), ensuring durability and corrosion resistance for long service life. The system is supplied as a complete booster set including a CME pump, expansion tank, pressure sensor, pressure gauge, and non-return valve, providing a reliable and compact solution for pressure control.
The pump delivers a maximum head of approximately 70 metres based on the performance curve and operates at a rated flow of 6 m³/h with a corresponding head of 47.8 metres. This duty point represents optimal performance for maintaining constant pressure across varying demand conditions.
The unit is powered by a 1.5 kW electric motor (P2) with integrated frequency converter, operating on a 1 x 200–240 V, 50 Hz supply. The motor operates within a speed range of 360 to 4000 RPM, ensuring efficient and adaptive performance without the need for external control systems.

Warranty & Returns
All products supplied by Foundation Pumps are covered by a minimum 12-month warranty unless otherwise stated. Some brands may offer longer manufacturer warranties. Warranty covers manufacturing defects, faulty materials and workmanship under normal use.
- Products must be installed correctly and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Warranty does not cover incorrect installation, misuse, dry running, normal wear and tear, unauthorised repairs or damage caused by external factors.
- Proof of purchase, photos, videos and installation details may be requested when assessing a warranty claim.
- The customer is responsible for returning the product to Foundation Pumps or the nominated service centre unless otherwise agreed.
- Removal, reinstallation, labour and associated site costs are generally the customer’s responsibility unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
- Change-of-mind returns may be accepted within 30 days provided the product is unused, uninstalled and returned in its original packaging.
- Customers are responsible for return freight costs for change-of-mind returns.
- Restocking fees may apply to special-order, bulky or non-stocked products.
- Used, installed or specially ordered products may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns.
- If a product arrives damaged or faulty, please contact Foundation Pumps as soon as possible so we can assist with the appropriate repair, replacement or refund.
