Water treatment applications requiring higher flow rates are served by the DMX 280-8 mechanical diaphragm dosing pump from Grundfos. Manual stroke length adjustment from 10-100% provides a 10:1 turndown ratio for dosing rate control.
The DMX 280-8 delivers 280 L/h maximum dosing capacity at 8 bar pressure, operating at 50 Hz with a 0.40 kW motor on 1 x 240v supply. Dosing flow variation is maintained at less than ±1.5% with linearity within ±4% at minimum 1 bar differential pressure. Suction lift during operation is 3 metres.
Ceramic valve balls and EPDM gaskets are incorporated in the DMX 280-8 thermoplastic dosing head. Standard non-return valves are fitted on both connections. The PTFE-coated diaphragm handles liquid temperatures from 0 to 40°C.
Aluminium gear housing with IP65 enclosure protects the DMX 280-8. G5/4 connections accommodate 19/27 and 20/25 mm connections.
