Product Overview

Where expanding commercial sites whose original mains feed no longer keep pace are served from a single booster, the Hydro MPC-E 2 CRIE 10-1 holds pressure steady as two CRIE 10-1 pumps respond to changing flow. The complete system ships factory assembled and tested under part number 93637548.

This set provides up to 512 L/min of flow capacity. Variable-speed operation can develop up to 14 metres of head where required. A Grundfos GENIECON PANEL on the common base frame provides the system control; the GENIECON UNIT within it holds the exact hydraulic and electrical data of the pumps, so staging and changeover decisions are based on the pumps' actual curves.

For installation, the booster is supplied pre-assembled with stainless steel manifolds, two 50 mm manifold connections, isolation valves, non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus an 8L diaphragm tank. It is designed for 1 x 230 V power at 50 Hz with a rated current of 6.7 A, with IP54 motor protection and a 16 bar maximum system pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C.

Its home ground covers industry, high-rise developments and irrigation schemes. The variable-speed system suits clean-water boosting duties with changing demand.

Features

  • The set ships with an 8L precharged diaphragm tank for low-flow stability.
  • Stainless steel manifolds provide two 50 mm manifold connections ready for pipework.
  • A suction-side pressure sensor guards the pumps against dry running.
  • GENIECON PANEL control with touch display gives operating staff full staging visibility.
  • Control decisions come from real pump curves, not generic models, via the GENIECON UNIT.
  • Cascade logic brings pumps on-line and off-line against changing demand without manual intervention.
  • Both constant-pressure and proportional-pressure modes are available, so plant rooms can tune response to pipework.
  • The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
  • Maximum operating pressure of 16 bar with motors sealed to IP54.
  • The system pairs two CRIE 10-1 pumps in parallel duty, controlled as a single coordinated system.
  • Each main pump is rated 0.75 kW (P2), so per-pump draw scales down as speed follows demand.
  • Energy draw matches the actual job because speed follows demand, not a fixed curve.
  • Frequency converters on the motors pair with permanent magnet motors for efficient part-load operation.
