Product Overview

In cafe strips and small assemblies where a dishwasher cycle drops the street pressure, the simultaneous demand of the morning peak places heavy loads on the supply; the Hydro MPC-E 2 CRIE 5-2 answers with two CRIE 5-2 pumps operating in parallel. The complete system ships factory assembled and tested under part number 93637517.

It handles flows up to 329 L/min across the system. The pumps can develop up to 19 metres of head when pressure demand increases. A Grundfos GENIECON PANEL on the common base frame provides the system control; the GENIECON UNIT within it holds the exact hydraulic and electrical data of the pumps, so staging and changeover decisions are based on the pumps' actual curves.

Factory assembled on a common base, the set combines stainless steel pipework, two 50 mm manifold connections, isolation and non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus an 8L diaphragm tank. It connects to a 1 x 230 V supply at 50 Hz with a rated current of 6.7 A. Motors are protected to IP54, while maximum system pressure is 16 bar. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C.

Its home ground covers commercial buildings, industry and irrigation schemes. The variable-speed system suits clean-water boosting duties with changing demand.

Features

  • The touch-panel GENIECON interface shows system status and allows direct setpoint changes on the door.
  • Inlet pressure monitoring provides dry-running protection if the suction supply is insufficient.
  • The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
  • Pump staging follows demand automatically: pumps enter at low speed as pressure drops, ramp to equal speed, and exit as flow fades.
  • Variable speed comes from frequency converters matched to permanent magnet motors, keeping the booster set in its efficient range.
  • Maximum operating pressure of 16 bar with motors sealed to IP54.
  • Stainless steel manifolds provide two 50 mm manifold connections ready for pipework.
  • Both constant-pressure and proportional-pressure modes are available, so plant rooms can tune response to pipework.
  • Control decisions come from real pump curves, not generic models, via the GENIECON UNIT.
  • Two Grundfos CRIE 5-2 vertical multistage pumps run in parallel on one common base frame.
  • The set ships with an 8L precharged diaphragm tank for low-flow stability.
  • Each main pump is rated 0.55 kW (P2), so per-pump draw scales down as speed follows demand.
  • Energy draw matches the actual job because speed follows demand, not a fixed curve.
