Product Overview

Small sites where a duty-point review calls for reserve pump capacity rely on booster systems with no tolerance for pressure variation, and the Hydro MPC-E 2 CRIE 5-9 is engineered for exactly that duty. Part number 93637532 provides the complete tested package in a single order line.

It handles flows up to 336 L/min across the system. The pumps can develop up to 89 metres of head when pressure demand increases. A Grundfos GENIECON PANEL on the common base frame provides the system control; the GENIECON UNIT within it holds the exact hydraulic and electrical data of the pumps, so staging and changeover decisions are based on the pumps' actual curves.

Factory assembled on a common base, the set combines stainless steel pipework, two 50 mm manifold connections, isolation and non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus an 8L diaphragm tank. It connects to a 1 x 400 V supply at 50 Hz with a rated current of 8.9 A. Motors are protected to IP54, while maximum system pressure is 16 bar. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C.

Expect it on industry and irrigation schemes sites, plus high-rise developments duties. It provides clean-water pressure boosting for both new plant rooms and refits.

Features

  • Variable speed comes from frequency converters matched to permanent magnet motors, keeping the booster set in its efficient range.
  • A suction-side pressure sensor guards the pumps against dry running.
  • GENIECON PANEL control with touch display gives operating staff full staging visibility.
  • Power use precisely tracks demand, avoiding the waste of fixed-speed alternates.
  • The GENIECON UNIT applies the pumps' exact hydraulic and electrical data when making control decisions.
  • Factory assembled and wet-tested, the set arrives pre-configured for straightforward installation.
  • The set ships with an 8L precharged diaphragm tank for low-flow stability.
  • Both constant-pressure and proportional-pressure modes are available, so plant rooms can tune response to pipework.
  • Stainless steel manifolds provide two 50 mm manifold connections ready for pipework.
  • Pump staging follows demand automatically: pumps enter at low speed as pressure drops, ramp to equal speed, and exit as flow fades.
  • Rated for 16 bar system pressure; motors carry IP54 protection.
  • Rated 2.2 kW (P2) on every main pump in the frame.
  • The system pairs two CRIE 5-9 pumps in parallel duty, controlled as a single coordinated system.
