Product Overview
The Hydro MPC-E 2 CRNE 10-3 is a proven fit for mixed-use buildings where a single booster covers retail, offices and apartments, with two Grundfos CRNE 10-3 pumps staged automatically as demand varies. Quote part number 93637830 to have it arrive pre-configured and ready for the plant room.
It handles flows up to 521 L/min across the system. The pumps can develop up to 43 metres of head when pressure demand increases. A Grundfos GENIECON PANEL on the common base frame provides the system control; the GENIECON UNIT within it holds the exact hydraulic and electrical data of the pumps, so staging and changeover decisions are based on the pumps' actual curves.
The two-pump package arrives as one base-mounted assembly with stainless steel manifolds, two 50 mm manifold connections, valves, sensors and a pressure gauge, plus an 8L diaphragm tank. Electrical supply is 3 x 400 V at 50 Hz with a rated current of 8.9 A. The motors have IP54 protection and the system is rated to 16 bar maximum pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C.
Its home ground covers irrigation schemes, commercial buildings and water supply networks. The variable-speed system suits clean-water boosting duties with changing demand.
Features
- Control decisions come from real pump curves, not generic models, via the GENIECON UNIT.
- Two Grundfos CRNE 10-3 vertical multistage pumps run in parallel on one common base frame.
- Power use precisely tracks demand, avoiding the waste of fixed-speed alternates.
- Each main pump is rated 2.2 kW (P2), so per-pump draw scales down as speed follows demand.
- The touch-panel GENIECON interface shows system status and allows direct setpoint changes on the door.
- Cascade logic brings pumps on-line and off-line against changing demand without manual intervention.
- Maximum operating pressure of 16 bar with motors sealed to IP54.
- The stainless steel manifold assembly is supplied with two 50 mm manifold connections.
- Constant pressure control holds the delivered pressure flat while proportional mode lets setpoints flex with demand.
- Each pump is driven by permanent magnet motors with frequency-controlled speed matching demand.
- Factory assembled and wet-tested, the set arrives pre-configured for straightforward installation.
- An integrated 8L diaphragm tank carries small draw-offs and limits pump cycling.
- A suction-side pressure sensor guards the pumps against dry running.
