Product Overview

Gymnasiums, aquatic centres and student housing running wall-to-wall showers get a constant-pressure answer in this Grundfos Hydro MPC-E 3 CRIE 10-2 set. One factory-tested package replaces a shelf of loose components; order part number 93637554 to put it on site.

The system supports flow rates up to 781 L/min. It can develop up to 28 metres of head for dependable pressure boosting. A Grundfos GENIECON PANEL on the common base frame provides the system control; the GENIECON UNIT within it holds the exact hydraulic and electrical data of the pumps, so staging and changeover decisions are based on the pumps' actual curves.

Factory assembled on a common base, the set combines stainless steel pipework, two 80 mm manifold connections, isolation and non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus an 8L diaphragm tank. It connects to a 3 x 400 V supply at 50 Hz with a rated current of 9.3 A. Motors are protected to IP54, while maximum system pressure is 16 bar. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C.

Applications include irrigation schemes, high-rise developments and water supply networks. The control flexibility suits clean-water boosting in new installations and upgrades.

Features

  • Energy draw matches the actual job because speed follows demand, not a fixed curve.
  • Maximum operating pressure of 16 bar with motors sealed to IP54.
  • The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
  • A suction-side pressure sensor guards the pumps against dry running.
  • The set ships with an 8L precharged diaphragm tank for low-flow stability.
  • Stainless steel manifolds provide two 80 mm manifold connections ready for pipework.
  • The system pairs three CRIE 10-2 pumps in parallel duty, controlled as a single coordinated system.
  • Frequency converters on the motors pair with permanent magnet motors for efficient part-load operation.
  • Pump staging follows demand automatically: pumps enter at low speed as pressure drops, ramp to equal speed, and exit as flow fades.
  • GENIECON PANEL control with touch display gives operating staff full staging visibility.
  • Control decisions come from real pump curves, not generic models, via the GENIECON UNIT.
  • Each main pump is rated 1.5 kW (P2), so per-pump draw scales down as speed follows demand.
  • Both constant-pressure and proportional-pressure modes are available, so plant rooms can tune response to pipework.
