Product Overview

Sites such as school blocks and council facilities fed by long, pressure-hungry reticulation require consistent pressure regardless of demand fluctuation; the Hydro MPC-E 3 CRIE 10-5 achieves this with three CRIE 10-5 pumps operating in parallel. One factory-tested package replaces a shelf of loose components; order part number 93637564 to put it on site.

This set provides up to 778 L/min of flow capacity. Variable-speed operation can develop up to 72 metres of head where required. A Grundfos GENIECON PANEL on the common base frame provides the system control; the GENIECON UNIT within it holds the exact hydraulic and electrical data of the pumps, so staging and changeover decisions are based on the pumps' actual curves.

The three-pump package arrives as one base-mounted assembly with stainless steel manifolds, two 80 mm manifold connections, valves, sensors and a pressure gauge, plus an 8L diaphragm tank. Electrical supply is 3 x 400 V at 50 Hz with a rated current of 17.7 A. The motors have IP54 protection and the system is rated to 16 bar maximum pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C.

Applications include industry, irrigation schemes and water supply networks. The control flexibility suits clean-water boosting in new installations and upgrades.

Features

  • Cascade logic brings pumps on-line and off-line against changing demand without manual intervention.
  • Rated for 16 bar system pressure; motors carry IP54 protection.
  • GENIECON PANEL control with touch display gives operating staff full staging visibility.
  • Stainless steel manifolds provide two 80 mm manifold connections ready for pipework.
  • The system pairs three CRIE 10-5 pumps in parallel duty, controlled as a single coordinated system.
  • Energy draw matches the actual job because speed follows demand, not a fixed curve.
  • An integrated 8L diaphragm tank carries small draw-offs and limits pump cycling.
  • Each main pump is rated 3 kW (P2), so per-pump draw scales down as speed follows demand.
  • Control decisions come from real pump curves, not generic models, via the GENIECON UNIT.
  • Inlet pressure monitoring provides dry-running protection if the suction supply is insufficient.
  • Both constant-pressure and proportional-pressure modes are available, so plant rooms can tune response to pipework.
  • The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
  • Frequency converters on the motors pair with permanent magnet motors for efficient part-load operation.
