Product Overview

Day spas and compact medical centres running half a dozen outlets at once get a constant-pressure answer in this Grundfos Hydro MPC-E 3 CRIE 5-12 set. Everything is ordered under the single part number 93637538.

It handles flows up to 486 L/min across the system. The pumps can develop up to 137 metres of head when pressure demand increases. A Grundfos GENIECON PANEL on the common base frame provides the system control; the GENIECON UNIT within it holds the exact hydraulic and electrical data of the pumps, so staging and changeover decisions are based on the pumps' actual curves.

Factory assembled on a common base, the set combines stainless steel pipework, two 50 mm manifold connections, isolation and non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus a 18L diaphragm tank. It connects to a 3 x 415 V supply at 50 Hz with a rated current of 17.7 A. Motors are protected to IP54, while maximum system pressure is 16 bar. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C.

Applications include high-rise developments, irrigation schemes and commercial buildings. The control flexibility suits clean-water boosting in new installations and upgrades.

Features

  • Each main pump is rated 3 kW (P2), so per-pump draw scales down as speed follows demand.
  • The touch-panel GENIECON interface shows system status and allows direct setpoint changes on the door.
  • Three Grundfos CRIE 5-12 vertical multistage pumps run in parallel on one common base frame.
  • Inlet pressure monitoring provides dry-running protection if the suction supply is insufficient.
  • The set ships with an 18L precharged diaphragm tank for low-flow stability.
  • Rated for 16 bar system pressure; motors carry IP54 protection.
  • Slow-speed duty and staged switching keep consumption down through low-demand hours.
  • The GENIECON UNIT applies the pumps' exact hydraulic and electrical data when making control decisions.
  • The stainless steel manifold assembly is supplied with two 50 mm manifold connections.
  • Both constant-pressure and proportional-pressure modes are available, so plant rooms can tune response to pipework.
  • Factory assembled and wet-tested, the set arrives pre-configured for straightforward installation.
  • Variable speed comes from frequency converters matched to permanent magnet motors, keeping the booster set in its efficient range.
  • Cascade logic brings pumps on-line and off-line against changing demand without manual intervention.
