Product Overview
Where childcare centres and clinic fitouts that live on steady warm-water supply are served from a single booster, the Hydro MPC-E 3 CRIE 5-12 holds pressure steady as three CRIE 5-12 pumps respond to changing flow. One factory-tested package replaces a shelf of loose components; order part number 93637811 to put it on site.
Flow capacity reaches 503 L/min. Up to 118 metres of head is available to maintain pressure as demand changes. A Grundfos GENIECON PANEL on the common base frame provides the system control; the GENIECON UNIT within it holds the exact hydraulic and electrical data of the pumps, so staging and changeover decisions are based on the pumps' actual curves.
Factory assembled on a common base, the set combines stainless steel pipework, two 50 mm manifold connections, isolation and non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus an 8L diaphragm tank. It connects to a 3 x 400 V supply at 50 Hz with a rated current of 17.7 A. Motors are protected to IP54, while maximum system pressure is 16 bar. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C.
Its home ground covers water supply networks, irrigation schemes and commercial buildings. The variable-speed system suits clean-water boosting duties with changing demand.
Features
- A suction-side pressure sensor guards the pumps against dry running.
- GENIECON PANEL control with touch display gives operating staff full staging visibility.
- Power use precisely tracks demand, avoiding the waste of fixed-speed alternates.
- Control decisions come from real pump curves, not generic models, via the GENIECON UNIT.
- The set ships with an 8L precharged diaphragm tank for low-flow stability.
- The package is wet-tested and pre-configured, requiring only pipework and power on site.
- Cascade logic brings pumps on-line and off-line against changing demand without manual intervention.
- Frequency converters on the motors pair with permanent magnet motors for efficient part-load operation.
- The controller tracks the pressure setpoint with proportional deviation alerts before conditions become faults.
- Three Grundfos CRIE 5-12 pumps share the boosting work in parallel.
- Stainless steel manifolds provide two 50 mm manifold connections ready for pipework.
- Rated for 16 bar system pressure; motors carry IP54 protection.
- Each main pump is rated 3 kW (P2), so per-pump draw scales down as speed follows demand.
