Product Overview
Across installations such as school blocks and council facilities fed by long, pressure-hungry reticulation, the Hydro MPC-E 3 CRNE 10-1 maintains stable pressure at every draw-off point. One factory-tested package replaces a shelf of loose components; order part number 93637821 to put it on site.
It handles flows up to 769 L/min across the system. The pumps can develop up to 14 metres of head when pressure demand increases. A Grundfos GENIECON PANEL on the common base frame provides the system control; the GENIECON UNIT within it holds the exact hydraulic and electrical data of the pumps, so staging and changeover decisions are based on the pumps' actual curves.
For installation, the booster is supplied pre-assembled with stainless steel manifolds, two 80 mm manifold connections, isolation valves, non-return valves, pressure sensors and a gauge, plus an 8L diaphragm tank. It is designed for 1 x 230 V power at 50 Hz with a rated current of 6.7 A, with IP54 motor protection and a 16 bar maximum system pressure. Liquid-temperature suitability is 5°C to 60°C.
Its home ground covers water supply networks, commercial buildings and high-rise developments. The variable-speed system suits clean-water boosting duties with changing demand.
Features
- Control decisions come from real pump curves, not generic models, via the GENIECON UNIT.
- The touch-panel GENIECON interface shows system status and allows direct setpoint changes on the door.
- Slow-speed duty and staged switching keep consumption down through low-demand hours.
- Both constant-pressure and proportional-pressure modes are available, so plant rooms can tune response to pipework.
- Inlet pressure monitoring provides dry-running protection if the suction supply is insufficient.
- Three Grundfos CRNE 10-1 vertical multistage pumps run in parallel on one common base frame.
- Variable speed comes from frequency converters matched to permanent magnet motors, keeping the booster set in its efficient range.
- The set ships with an 8L precharged diaphragm tank for low-flow stability.
- Factory assembled and wet-tested, the set arrives pre-configured for straightforward installation.
- Each main pump is rated 0.75 kW (P2), so per-pump draw scales down as speed follows demand.
- The stainless steel manifold assembly is supplied with two 80 mm manifold connections.
- Maximum operating pressure of 16 bar with motors sealed to IP54.
- Pump staging follows demand automatically: pumps enter at low speed as pressure drops, ramp to equal speed, and exit as flow fades.
